TC fodder. He might not even see a dime of that $395K, probably just the training camp money. I doubt he makes it past final cuts. First cuts if we draft Barnes or Shipley.
I actually think he'd make the final cut. Hes depth at WR AND RB spot. Hes done well with the chances we have given him so not bad bringing him back.
http://www.newyorkjets.com/team/player/1351-danny-woodhead From wiki: Date of birth: January 25, 1985 (1985-01-25) (age 25) Place of birth: North Platte, Nebraska Height: 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) Weight: 200 lb (91 kg) What does it matter? Even if he was 5'6"(Hes not) I bet he could run through or around you and the other haters putting him down for no reason.
I guess you didn't notice the link for the NY Jets official website in my post did you (you know the one you quoted)? I was simply referencing two sources Wikipedia being the second of the two.
Yeah, as I said in another thread, I think his role will expand slightly next season. I'd assume that his lack of snaps at WR had a lot to do with the short amount of time they actually devoted to his development at WR. It's not exactly something you devote a heavy amount of time to during the season. If Woodhead is devoted, which I think we can agree he is, he's going to spend the offseason trying to develop his skills as a receiver.
A lot of people, myself included, started making fun of him because of the INCREDIBLY over the top love people were giving him. I never disliked him, but the outrage when he was cut was absurd. I'll certainly defend his right to be there now that he's earned the spot. I don't think you'll find anyone who genuinely dislikes him or doesn't want him to succeed, although I certainly could be wrong. I like having him on the roster if they think there's a chance he can convert to the slot. Either way, I'm not going to be distraught if he gets cut.
little guy with a big heart making league min. to be a depth player. not a big deal either way. Apparently Rex likes the fact that the guy has more heart than other more physically gifted players on the team. Although I doubt he sees much action unless they can team him to be a returner.
woodhead ran for more yards than anyone in the history of college football it would be nice to have a rb to take the carries and abuse in gargage time we need a woodhead nickname thread. i'll start: the purple pencil
