Don't understand how the Jets go to the AFC Title game, were part of the game that brought the biggest ratings for that game in quite some time and they don't have 1 SNF Game. Anyone who thinks MNF Is better then SNF then you are a complete moron. SNF is the new MNF since NBC got in the mix. Also the schedule is going to have be changed if Indy wins in two weeks because they wil be over the max amount of primetime games with the Thursday Nite Opener.
Whether it would be SNF or MNF, Patriots @ Jets televised for the whole country to see would be AWESOME.
well one thing about this list I do believe, is that primetime football will swamped with NFC east teams, as it is every year, it makes me sick.
It can happen. These teams made multiple Thanksgiving Day appearances in short spans- Patriots- 2000, 2002 Bears- 1991, 1993, 1997, 1999 Chiefs- 1995, 1996 Vikings- 1995, 1998, 2000 Falcons- 2005, 2007 Broncos- 2001, 2005, 2006, 2009 Packers- 2001, 2003, 2007, 2009 Colts- 2004, 2007
Damn, I don't like Thanksgiving games. There is too much commotion around and I feel like they'd lose the the Lions on thanksgiving...nevermind SOJ is gone. Too much commotion...
The fellow expressed wonderment as to the Jets possibly playing on Thnksgvng two times in a span of four years presumably thinking that the league would want to rotate the non-Dallas and Detroit teams. I was showing that it hasn't been the case at all really.
Especially considering the other NY team that fell apart to end '09 has two. Also, I really don't want the Jets on Thanksgiving. Having to watch the Jets play around family is my f***in' nightmare. "Relax, it's only a game."
that's exactly what I was thinking. that storyline can fill up all the pregame nonsense for a game that won't be very entertaining at all considering Calvin Johnson will be shut down, and Stafford will be harassed all game.
They don't need to sell the Lions for the early game. The ratings for the TDay games with the Lions have done as well or better than the WK12 SNF matchups(Colts/Chargers, Steelers/Ravens) the last two years. People are used to their suckitude.
Im surprised no one brought up the Revis/Johnson matchup.. I mean I get the sanchez/stafford matchup and can't to see that.. but that revis/johnson matchup is gunna be great too...
Thanksgiving is a 50/50 shot at worst. Detroit has the AFC team and they only host two AFC teams this year, we're one of them. Assuming we're in the hunt, 10 days off going into December is always a good thing, especially if you can win that Thursday game like we did with Buffalo at Toronto this year.
