I'd absolutely love it if Chad were the backup. I trust him to hold the fort if Sanchez were to go down, and I feel he'd be a great mentor. However, I don't see him coming back after we unceremoniously dumped him. He might have nothing left though. And if he has nothing left, and we don't have much money to spend in FA, I'd rather look elsewhere, and go with Ainge and O'Connell. We drafted/traded for them for a reason. Hopefully, they don't suck.
Isn't Kitna available? Those who can't do teach. Kitna is a good teacher. Edit: Apparently, he isn't. The site I was looking at was inaccurate. Great first post. W00!
i'm gonna ride with you guys.how far removed from chad do we have to get before he stops being part of the offseason arguing? this isn't rhetorical,i would really like to know

I think them panning out as good backups all way on are new QB coach and how he develops them and there football smarts
The more I look at that list the better off we are with Chad. Get Vinney to come off the couch! Ainge B Smith, & O'Connell
of those options, the choice of that class has to be Garcia. He can certainly still play well enough to hand off the ball with our run game, and he has been the best starter of the bunch over their career, he could teach Mark a thing or two. That said chances are he can get really good backup money out there, which we can't provide.
He'd probably do well since this would be the first team he would be able to throw the ball erect instead of on his back!
The problem with Garcia is his offensive talent and mind is completely different from the Schott the Mad Scientist. He's a WCO type of guy which is why he did well in Filthydelphia.
How about we bring back Vinny instead now that we're making retarded suggestions? Maybe I should start a thread.
Let Kellen go, sign Pennington so he can retire as a Jet and help Mark develop/make Ainge a legit backup.
