How did he play well? besides recovering that onside kick I understand that just because he's not grabbing picks out of the sky and having huge hits in the backfield for losses doesn't mean he's playing badly........ but every time I watched him he was late to the play and then made a soft ass tackle.
Oh great swammi, tell us more. If Ryan wanted him back, he would have said so. He said Edwards was going to get the highest tag they could put on him as an RFA. He was asked DIRECTLY if he wanted Rhodes back and refused to answer. And you think he's going to stay? Based on what, pray tell. I'm as sure as you seem to be that the agreement was to try to trade him.
When you're a Safety who is known for grabbing an onside kick as your season highlight, you're in trouble.
Try watching the tape....they won the last 7 of their 8 games, all with tough match-ups for Kerry. He plays poorly against any of those guys he has to defend, they don't win...especially in the playoffs.
I really don't think Rhodes has what Ryan believes (and what we believe, less importantly) is a jets attitude. If he can grow a pair, then by all means keep him, the man has talent. But if he continues to play like a pretentious Catholic schoolgirl, then he doesn't deserve to wear the green and white.
Good point. It seemed like he always was a little detached and never really invested in the team. I'm not sure why he would want to leave such a great defensive unit, but he must have some reason. Maybe he wants to go someplace where he doesn't have to work.
Man it's common knowledge what the subject was in their conversation. All this speculation is just stupid. Rex simply asked Kerry how to get six pack abs. Good god what is the big deal. It is just basic stuff as Rex is going to get toned up this offseason.
i cant see how anyone on here was impressed with kerry rhodes performance, or effort for that matter, and i have heard no team mates back him up.
As much as I am a Kerry Rhodes fan I feel like it could be any year that he hangs up his spikes and goes into acting without a second thought about football...
I never thought about him retiring as an option. It's probably not the case, but it could be a definite possibility. That would explain Rex being quiet if Rhodes is really considering it.
also, remember a few weeks ago when Rex was asked about kerry and he said "that was a great play... i'm just happy that he's on our side"? makes it seem like they knew from the middle of the season he was outta here
Kerry Rhodes on twitter "I will address the talk about my situation on SNY 2morrow evening tune in!!"
I think he's gone. If he cant flourish with his talent in this system with THIS coach..send him back to Mangini in Cleveland!
LMAO I bet he would love that... re-united with mangini again and in a city where he can really start his modeling/acting career
this is not a contract year.he got paid 2 years ago.coincidently the last year he was good.just saying
