He and Williams have nothing in common besides being highly touted WR prospects.

Dez is quicker, faster, meaner...just plain better. Williams does have the size advantage, but that was overrated then and certainly with the powers of hindsight.

85...I feel like you overrate Charles Brown, though he's certainly got the upside and athleticism to go in the first. Brandon Lafell is not a top 50 player in this draft...more because this draft is very deep because he'll be a solid player...And you underrate Bryant...he's a top 5 player in this draft and the best WR prospect since CJ in '07.

I'll be making my top 50 in the next week or two. I'd rather wait until combine, but a pre-combine one can't hurt.

Not gonna lie, its kinda a pain in the ass to go back in forth between the last page and first page so I can see your revisions and then comment

But from what I can remember I think Donovan Warren should be somewhere on that list

Also I would rank Williams higher

...and they both sat out a year and decided to enter the draft. That's the comparison I was going for.

Williams sat out longer, but time off can be a bit a concern. He'll still go very high.

Well Williams did it voluntarily, didn't he?

Bryant's just worlds better as a prospect IMO...way more quick twitch as an athlete...

Yeah, when Maurice Clarett decided to change the rules, Mike Williams decided he didn't want to go to school anymore either...and that was incredibly stupid.

Mike Williams was a hell of a WR prospect in 2004 - the year he left early and became ineligible. 176 receptions for 2,570 yards and 30 TDs in two seasons is ridiculous out of a pro-style system.

His problems in the NFL were because of laziness and his work ethic. Williams weighed 270 pounds during his lazy season as a pro...

I was just never high on Williams. He basically out-sized any DB in college, and like many of his USC teammates from that era he was overrated due to their success and numbers.

Bryant OTOH is an NFL player...and a top 5 player in this draft.

Seems a lot of people have been putting Dan Williams ahead of Cody lately. Williams apparently checked into the Senior Bowl looking really good and Cody not so much. No concerns that he's this year's Andre Smith WW?

Weight is an issue with Cody. It's still early, let's see how Cody reacts to being overweight at the Senior Bowl. No question, Williams is on the rise and the gap is narrowing.

I probably have Dan Williams ranked a little low, he will continue to rise.

The Combine will make the picture clearer.

Just wondering, what makes Burnett better than Allen?

    Grim,

It's my personal preference, I don't have them rated far apart. I just see Burnett as a better all-round safety and respect his competition more than Allen's. Allen may have a better upside.

That's fine, just wondering if it was coverage ability/playmaking.

I think they're close, but I'd go Allen.

Both would be really nice replacements for Rhodes.

I'd take either player to replace Rhodes. Allen may have slightly better coverage skills, but both should make a fine transition to FS in the NFL.

The Competition is what had me leaning more to Burnett.

    Ok, gotcha.

What do you think of Chad Jones and how he fits in our system?

Chad Jones should have stayed another year.

Safeties are very deep this year and I don't see him getting into rd 2.

Damn, he'd be a nice pick in the 3rd.

I wish DeAndre McDaniel had declared, he's a beast.

It'll be interesting to see Myron Rolle's progression this offseason. With a strong showing, I think he could climb into the 2nd round.

I agree about Jones, I like he is a tremendous athlete (pretty good in the CWS) He didn't dominate as much as he could have, but I will say he is pretty heads up. Look at his play at the :34 second mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjpt-eJTmsU he came around from the other side of the line to break that up when everyone else was focusing on stopping the the running back.
