I applied to Plattsburgh State college and my acceptance letter should be coming any day now. But I just realized, when I was their last time they didn't show Yankees games on TV. They were playing bluejays games. And hell some of the stations were canadian. So does anyone have any idea if they show Jets games up their? because theirs no way in hell I could survive 4 years without watching Jets games. and please no snotty responses saying im ridicolous etc. I missed most of the games this season because of friggin work and it sucked completely. It sucks sitting their getting text messages telling you that the Jets are up 16-9 on the Patriots. worst feeling ever. So does anyone have an idea? and if you live by a town near by post anyway. Cuz i don't want to watch stinkin Bills games.....or worst of all THE CFL =/
Don't choose a college based on whether or not they show the Jets game. I go to school in Virginia and I have plenty of options to watch the Jets games every week 1. Bar (even if you are under 21, just go there and eat wings or something) 2. Friends that have NFL Sunday Ticket 3. Internet Stream- stealthshot had a near HD stream running flawlessly all season long
My friend goes to Platt and he always watches the game. I think they have NFL Sunday ticket in the dorm rooms.
Hey, thats where I was born! Sorry for the sidetrack, I dont have an answer for you. I would think that's closer to NE territory though.
I might end up paying for NFL ticket. But i'll see. I think I will go no matter what, but i just wanted to see.
If you are choosing a college based on if you can see a Jets game or not, How the fuck did you get accepted in the first place?
One of the biggest reasons I transferred from the University of Utah to Rutgers was so I could go to the Jets games. I'm very happy with my decision lol.
Alright thanks for the help, i'm pretty sure they show Jets game. Most the people that go to that college are city kids anyway.
when i was a kid and being bad my mom used to always threaten that she was going to send me to military school in plattburgh new york. it still makes me shiver every time i hear that name.
Why not check the NFL distribution maps for this season and see how many times the Jets were shown in that market? Oh, and I've read enough of your posts to know you should be thanking God that a college even let you in, not questioning whether it has proper telecasts.
A little rough on the kid, don't you think, guys? Selecting a college on the basis of tv coverage of course is not wise, but I can understand asking the question on a Jets forum. Soxxx, the easiest solution would seem to be signing up for internet coverage of the games live. I don't think that would cost too much (though I have not researched it yet as my son still has a year left before he faces the same issue) and all the colleges these days have excellent internet networks in the dorms and throughout the campus. Directv/Sunday ticket will not likely be available to you in the dorm though it is possible it may be around in a common room somewhere. Enjoy college.
i wouldn't bet on getting every game on tv. i go to oneonta state and your like 3-4 more hours north than i am and i sometimes get stuck with the bills. internet streams are good, and your like 20 minutes from canada up there go across the border get to a bar with the game and drink legally.
