the defender never played the ball, he only has himself to blame for that call. that's not on the ref. it was a close call, but was fair.

 

on a similar note, the reception on that drive on 3rd and 12 they reviewed that the announcers, and analysts I've been listening to this morning, claimed was incomplete was clearly complete. just because it was moving around on his body doesn't mean it wasn't a catch -- it never touched the ground. the receiver couldn't have had his hand under the ball and the ball pinned against his body any more evidently.

the officials were fair on that drive.
