TJ played this game banged up----------he had braces on both knees! If this was indeed your last game as a Jet I just wanted to say thank you for everything TJ you were and still are a Class act!

That explains a lot but it's still time to move on.

The guy is a warrior and very much under-appreciated by Jet fans. Not the most exciting back ever but all the guy's done here is produce consistently.

I think they should keep him reduce his work load and just split it three ways...

I want to see the extent of Greenes injury---I don't know if he had a previous injury but on the play he was injured he did not take a hit to the ribs. If he was able to get back in this game and chose not to then my luv for him just faded bigtime----time will tell but as I said TJ played with 2 freaking braces on his knees--u gotta luv him

agreed...i really want to find out the extent of the injury...i mean he was able to run on the next play...

i really thought he'd miss a drive or two and then be back in the game

Awesome thread. I think TJ will be back next year as well. He has proven to be productive AND a leader on this team. He wasn't hitting any holes hard yesterday because he had 2 bad wheels. That and we also ran him pretty good for the season. When Shonn Greene went down, that fucked up our entire game plan.

I would like to see TJ return. He still has some mileage left, just reduce the workload with Greene and hopefully Washington returning next year.

I think for sure that there is more to his knee injury then we really know.

He was explosive midway through the year up until this knee issue popped up.

I was a TJ fan even when this board was ripping him. That said, he's had a good career here, and now it's over. I'll be surprised if the Jets bring him back next year. They can save some money by dropping him.

His fuel tank is empty anyway. He showed that yesterday. As was said earlier, when Greene went out, there went the game.

    Thanks for the memories TJ.

I didn't realize he was banged up coming into this game. Where was that posted?

Jones hurt is knee in the final game against Cincy.

He's been playing with a bruised knee throughout the whole playoffs.
He hasn't had a full week of practice since.

thanks TJ. You were always the bright spot on the Jets team every year you were on this team.

But I wish we could sign or restructure his contract. So that we can keep him, Greene, and Washington. I would also like another RB if we did get rid of TJ. Because with Greene and Washington is not enough. Gotta keep the legs fresh. having 3 good RBs is such a good security blanket. but having 3 and 1 one in the waiting is even better.

Jones is like a tank. Greene is great but seems injury-prone.

Jones still claims he is in his prime. he's been good for us, but it's time to move on

just because Greene has gotten one injury doesnt mean he's injury prone

TJ is a warrior I'll give him that.

...but he looked finished in the playoffs. The Offense was noticeably better when Greene was in. I doub't the Jets keep him at his 6 mill price tag. Maybe cut resign him at a lower price, but he's just not an efficitve 20+ carry back any more for a full season.
