That's what Revis said in his post-game...said the secondary had major problems in getting coverage right, telling others what they were going to do, doubling up and no doubling up, etc.

    This is major. Either....

    (1) Guys are too stupid to adjust on the fly -- personnel.

    (2) Coaches aren't calling the right plays -- coaching.

Yeah, well who is good in the Jets secondary? Revis, obviously, is the man and Leonhard has been a very pleasant surprise. That's about it.

If only we could combine the best qualities of Sheppard, Strickland and Lowery into one player. He'd be a hell of a cornerback.

If Strickland could stay healthy he'd be a hell of a player. Dude can't seem to stay on the field.

Or (3) The Colts kept the dome closed on a rainless day and are known for bringing extreme crowd noise to home games.

Smith has always gotten lost in coverage and I get the impression Rhodes isn't much better. I think without Leonhard telling them what to do they'd both be useless. I don't know if Coleman and Sheppard are like that but they flat out can't cover well anyway.

If stopping Manning was so simple an idiot could do it.............

Sometimes it comes down to their best player who happens to be the best QB on the planet beat the Jets best players who aren't the best players on the planet..... Well except Revis. I mean it happens.

discipline has killed this team all year. Jets never should have been in a position to need to be "gifted" a playoff berth. i like the emotion, but they cant play dumb

When a player makes statements like that, you have to think it's a pretty big concern.

Some of those passes that went for big gains/scores would not have even been attempted if we had guys in the right spots. Sure Manning is a great quarterback, and he had throws today that were fantastic.

But that 16 yrd. td to Collie could have been made any qb in this league with coverage like that. There were three Jets Deep in the middle and they let this guy get behind them in the end zone.

Sorry, that's just not good defense.
    I know it.
    You know it.
    And Revis knows it.
