Looks like ESPN is giving us props...how strange is that? http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/9737/time-is-on-the-jets-side
Revis probably had his worst game of the season, but even with that the people he was covering were pretty much non-factors. Did ESPN not notice that it was Garcon and Collie, the two receivers he wasn't covering, who did the vast majority of the damage?
yeah that doesnt make any sense to me, revis gave up a grand total of 2 receptions in man to man and one in a zone in front of him. Wayne made one hell of a cut that made revis look silly however. And too be honest I think secretly we all knew that in order to win this game Manning was going to have to be off. Whether it was an off day, whether we caused it whether his receivers just couldnt catch a cold or some other reason we needed him to not be on fire. Well he wasnt just on fire, he was more or less flawless. Only one pass was even close to being picked off, and that was the ball the Coleman totally missed on the bomb to collie. Too be honest Coleman should have played for the knock down, but whats done is done.
Anyone that thinks Revis had a bad game has no clue. The fact that Reggie Wayne was a non-factor tells you that he did his job.
Nothing anybody says is going to change the fact that if we didn't lose Greene we had an excellent chance to win this game and once we lost him we had no chance. It really sucks to lose a game to injury.
I don't know about excellent chance but once I saw him hurt I said it's over if he doesn't come back.
Revis got beat a few times and missed a tackle or 2. But Grenada? This guy is smoking crack.......... oh well. Decent article otherwise.
