The Bears have Jay Cutler and their running game still sucks.

I mentioned the Bears because they haven't had a good running game since they traded TJ to us.

Just about every statistical measure ever invented for football disagrees with that assesment.

yeah dude i'm sure there'd be a million teams lining up to give a 31 year old back with no vision and no ability to change directions a contract

Depends on what he's looking for. I don't think he's a change of pace/backup type, so the teams with established #1s wouldn't need him. But I would fear him on the Pats.

If you think that's scary just imagine what he could do for Philly.

He's a good back, but he doesn't want to throw his body out there to get that extra yard. It keeps him healthy, and it allows him to be a workhorse, and behind a good offensive line, that's not a bad thing. But when it comes to the playoffs, he's simply not explosive enough.

I'm certainly willing to bring him back if we can't sign any free agents and it's going to be an uncapped year. Greene has to prove he can stay healthy (maybe he should learn from Jones?), and Washington has to prove he can come back from his injury. Jones is reliable for the grind of the season, which is certainly worth something, just as it was with Curtis. But remember, Curtis led the league in rushing in 2004. In 2005 he was done.

My my what short memories we have. I remember a 2007 team that had a fairly poruous OLine with 2 rookies and plug in and Jones ran for 1000+ yards...

Agreed. Lets cut him for his couple of bad games. Who cares if he was the third best runner in the regular season. He needs to go cuz we have just too much depth at RB to keep him around. Kick him off, let him go.

Really? I don't think Greene can play defense...he can't cover a single rcvr on the Colts and he must have a complimentary back.

KOZ, you need to check the facts before you make claims like that.

TJ has good hands and caught almost every ball thrown to him this year. I have no idea why Schotty never uses him in the short passing game.

TJ won a lot of games for us this year and came up big in ALOT of games. Do I think he needs Shon to alternate with? Yes...but I wouldn't trade him. Much bigger needs right now on the Defensive Side of the ball. (CB & Pass Rusher)
