I knew it was over when the Colts took the lead and Shonn Greene went down with an injury. For anyone who was talking to me online, I actually signed off and went into a bit of a bubble for the remainder of the game. I just had that feeling. It sucks...

Thomas Jones was our only other option and he has been playing like hot garbage for the past month. Shonn Greene was what keep our offense running. It was asking a bit too much to put the entire game on Sanchez's shoulders, but he still played exceptional. I look forward to the future of this team, because with Jenkins and Washington coming back, and the maturity of players like Sanchez and Greene, this team is going to compete for a very long time...and I think we win get our chance to see the Jets in the SB in the very near future. It also helps that we have a great coach in Rex Ryan....

Agreed on all point. If we can keep our entire team together and have everyone stay healthy, we will have the opportunity for another run in the coming years. We can draft a pass rusher, cb, and line depth and we will be in great shape.

Yeah, me too. The turning point was very obvious but it was clearly the 80 yard TD drive right before the half by Manning and the Colts. Also, when Feeley missed that 52 yarder right after Shonn Greene got hurt (which immediately followed the Colts taking the lead), I felt that the game was slipping away. I wouldn't say that I thought it was "over" after that miss, but I felt in my heart that it was the beginning of the end.

I don't think I've ever been as not upset over a loss as I am today. We simply got beat because the Colts are a better team pure and simple. No reason to be pissed whatsoever. This is still the best Jets team I've seen in over 10 years and I'll be with them next season when we finally take over the AFCE.

I thought the game was over with the decision to try and kick that 52 yarder not the actual miss itself.
No monday morning qbing here , I said it as soon as they lined up to attempt it.

What I do not understand is if you planned on kicking the long FG, you should have run on third down to try and get 4 or 5 yards closer.

Manning was flat out awesome. Unbeatable today. I can't think of any team that could have beaten them today the way they played. No way we could stop the slants. Peyton still has a giant noggin' though. He has to live with that. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to get over it.

The way they were driving up and down the field, field position didn't matter too much in the second half.

Yeah. From that point on, I felt like I was a losing Blackjack player who kept getting 14s, 15s, and 16s against the dealer's 10s. Just fighting uphill the entire first half.

Agreed. That and the decision to run the clock out at the end of the half. How can you have 1:10 left and have the ball near the 30 yard line and just not try to score any points? IMHO there is no reason (except fear) not to try and get at least 3 points.

This is the first time I am comfortable saying "the WILL be back next year". The Jets had a great season. 3 games of playoff experiance for Sanchez and Greene priceless. I am proud of our beloved Jets!

I completely agree. The last few seasons usually end with the feeling that the Jets left something on the field, that they underachieved from their full potential. But this just felt different, like they went as far as they should've went...and then some.

Can't say I'm pleased to see it all end, but I'm actually hopeful and optimistic about the future, unlike previous years.

Yeah we definitely need another Corner back.

I don't care what anyone is saying...Lowey played better than how people are portraying. Manning made some unbelievable throws to Garcon, and to Garcon's credit, he made some great catches too.

Revis did his job, but asking Thomas Jones and Sanchez to win the game for the Jets was too much.

What was with all of the tipped balls?

Someone needs to work on that stuff in the off season. Tipped ball interceptions are the worst.

But NOTHING...... THis was a great year by the Jets. I know we are all upset as Jets fan but we were playing with house money.

The Jets were playing above and beyond themselves in the playoffs this year.

A few things to take from this team this year:

    1) Sanchez proved with this game that he is a BIG time Quaterback. The poise that he showed this game was amazing. His throws were right on the money, He showed the Jets that he can be a Franchise quarterback.

    2) The defense under Rex Ryan has the potential to be the greatest defense in the league for years to come. His defensive schemes are simply the best and most creative going right now. Considered that the Jets dont have true pass rushing threat this team could takeoff if they had one.

    3) They have a big time runner in Shonn Greene. He is an absolute beast.

This is just three little snipets of what the Jets have to build on.

A good year BUT......a whole lot of the NEW New York Jets!!!!!!

I agree with you. Some of throws that Manning made were all-world, and that's why he's the MVP of the league.

That being said, our secondary had some injuries, but they didn't play to par. Coleman was out matched, and Rhodes was playing in space the entire game and looked confused. Lowery is going to only get better, but we lack a REAL safety back there. I don't know who we can get, but to me, Rhodes needs to be replaced.

I felt exactly the same way. C'mon with the way Sanchez was throwing there was no reason to get atleast 50 yards into field goal position

i thought we had a good first half, credit to the colts for that drive before the end of the half to pull within 4. I thought the game would be decided on how we responded, we did everything right, then Greene got injured, and feely missed the long fg and the colts had a short field, to go down and make the score. I swear that was the football game. It was like suddenly the air went out of the balloon. The colts did well but it is about putting pressure on Manning and the team, not just sacking him, pressure that he has to make the score, seeing out most important player go down and the wheels fall off helps him a lot. I am pissed because we could have won that game
