This defense is as strong as the weakest link, and our 2nd CB killed us all day long. Our scouting team said we should have picked Leodis Mcelvin and Mangini overrode them to take the walking sack of feces Gholston.
Peppers is a free agent, he doesnt want to stay there and if Carolina hits him with the tag it will cost them $22 million. Hes out guy, go get him Tanny.
It's VERY hard for us to get Peppers, so I'd probably rule that out. Sheppard obviously isn't up to it anymore, we need a new CB. Also, we have to replace our ends before it becomes a problem, same with Woody.
This game showed we need another CB asides from Revis. Also another passing rushing DE would have helped. Let Sheppard go....
Jenkins coming back next season will be huge, we need alittle more depth at CB. Lito has to go, Lowery is a solid nickel, maybe he can be a starter one day, but not right now. We def need a pass rusher, offense looks good, they just need to grow. Shotty coming back would be the best thing for us, let Mark grow in Shotty's offense.
Ok. How do trades work? What if Carolina hit Peppers with the tag and we tradef ro him? I know this is highly unlikely, I'm just asking questions, I dont know too much how this uncapped year is going to work.
F-- gholston and mangina for picking him. Rodgers-Cromartie was the pick. But what's done is done. No point in dwelling on the past.
We really gotta stop bitching and moaning about the Ghost. He's on the roster and a complete waste but he ain't getting cut. We need a damn pass rusher and some help in the secondary this draft. I'm really hoping Tanny doesn't start playing fantasy football again as our lack of depth hurt us today.
Yeah I'm no expert on it either. Here is an article that explains it a bit. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d808736ba&template=with-video&confirm=true
Actually, the rule is that we can't sign any free agents UNLESS WE FIRST LOSE A FREE AGENT OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE. Now, because Peppers makes so much/ would command such a big contract, we very likely cannot sign peppers or any other impact player like that.
