Maybe. I could say also all of Peyton?s losses weren't really his fault, but who's gonna believe me outside Indianapolis?
But that doesn't mean Cotchery doesn't have great hands and Edwards isn't overly criticized. None of his drops have cost us a game.
yah i got something special for you to work with - its called we are gonna beat your ass tomorrow afternoon.
So just like Colts fans assume we would have lost a 15-10 game, you assume our guys would have more drops if we throw more? I'm not saying they would or wouldn't but assumptions don't bode well in arguments.
Yeah and I am trying really hard too. It was the perception on this board that the Jets were going to run the ball for over 170 yards on the Colts defense that made me shake my head and say something about it. I usually just let everything go as we are all fans, but that is just as disrespectful as it gets, in my opinion.
It is disrespectful that we say we are going to run for our season average against an average rush D?
Wait..The Jets are averaging 170 yards a game in the playoffs, and you think it is disrespectful we think we will do the same vs a team that allows more rush yards per game than the last 2 teams we played?
The Colts don't have to make assumptions. We are favored for a reason. Be honest, if the Jets were favored by 7+ points then would you listen to anything I had to say? Be honest about that.
Yes I do. And yes it is disrespectful as shit. What you have done means nothing at this point, just as nothing we have done means nothing. To say the Jets are going to run for 170+ is just so far out there that I can?t begin to imagine a fan of any team saying. You just don?t predict 170+ rushing yard days.
I would listen, but would still expect my team to win. I'm a Nets fan, and I still expect them to win every night, even though they are 3-40.
Let me ask again, why is it ridiculous to guess that we are going to reach our season AVERAGE. We aren't predicting to run for 500, we are simply saying our average. This is the #1 Rush O for a reason. (just in case http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/average)
That's not the point. The point is there are favorites for a reason and the Jets rushing for 170+ would equate to the Jets being favored by 7 or even more. It?s just not plausible. Possible ? Yes, I will give you that (either team could do it). But plausible - No.
Saying we will rush for 170 does not mean it is an automatic win, if that was the case we would be 16-0 this year, because it was our average. We ran for over 300 against the Bills and still lost. But Sanchez is over his mid-season slump.
