That's one of the most ignorant things I've read.

AORN, the JETS nationally are THEE most talked about teams between all 4!

Then he totally does a 180 and says:

Rex Ryan should print this article out and post it everywhere in the locker room tomorrow.

Of course the network wants the superstars to be in the game. Why do you think the Phillies/Rays world series was a ratings disaster? Nobody gave a shit. Yet the Yankees are in it the next year with the Phillies and the ratings skyrocketed.

Everybody knows who Peyton is because he's in ads for everything on TV. CBS wants to be able to capitalize on his image, that's all this means.

Very wise of CBS to let this spin out tonight. That way when the Colts have 10 penalties tomorrow and the Jets 5 nobody will get suspicious.

The Jets, being the who they are this year, would have all of the media going apeshit if they made it to the SB.

    Let's not kid ourselves.

CBS can go fuck themselves. The Jets are largely unknown west of the Hudson? Really?

First off, this guy is the FORMER president. Second, Colts-Saints is likely the biggest moneymaker match-up.

not a good comparison.baseball doesn't hold the popularity football does.your asking people to tune in for a min. 4 games and they start the games @9 on a work nite.if your not a fan of the participating team you are probably not making the time commitment.this however is the super bowl.it's @6:30 on a sunday.party's are planned around it,office pools are rampant, the hype over the commercials makes it mainstream to more than sport fans and its one nite only done by 10 est.it's perfect and people will watch no matter who the teams are.

I'm gonna watch it even if my Colts are NOT in it. I'll just be a J E T S Jets Jets Jets fan for two weeks.

But... I think I am still gonna be a Colts fan Monday morning.

True, but Manning brings in more viewers. Put him and Favre together and it will be epic.

I expect your DB's to try and rough our receivers up, so I would expect to see some very legit calls against them.

One of the Bengals recievers pushed off of our DB's (I think it was actually Revis) and we got called for Illegal contact after 5 yards by the refs.
