I think Dustin Keller is in for a big game. With all the defensive emphasis on the run Keller will have many open looks. Do some play action and Keller can have a huge game.
Lito Sheppard. If he can cover Garcon/Collie while Revis shadows Wayne, this game becomes very winnable. But if Peyton has a field day throwing to Lito's side, we won't get him off the field all day long.
I'm sorry to ash this, but I think their D is going to limit Keller's effectiveness with their speed. I do think our power running game will counter act this giving us a puncher's chance. But my x factor for the game is going to be E Smith. We need some big plays, and huge hits from him.
I think its going to come down to Sanchez. If the Colts D go with 7 DBs like they did last game (starters) then there will be room for Sanchez to use his feet and make the next 1st down. He always seems to come up big throwing on the run as well. Brad Smith was VERY quiet in the SD game also
If all goes to plan and we trail by 7 or less (or even in the lead), then it will be our D in the 1st 3 quarters, making way for Shonn Greene to be the X Factor in Q4.
The biggest X-factors for us Lito Sheppard Alan Faneca (on his pulling plays) Dustin Keller Brad Smith (not as a wildcat, but as a return man and slot receiver) Calvin Pace To be honest, Pace may be the biggest X-factor in the game, if he can get to Manning and simply torture him all day we will be a great position to win the game Also if Sheppard/Lowery lock down on Collie/Garcon Peyton will find it nearly impossible to keep the ball moving tomorrow. Keller has been huge this postseason and is begining to become a target in the red zone which is huge for us not only on sunday but in the future. Smith should be in Indy's ST heads a little bit, I don't expect a return TD as before, But I would like to see Smith get us a few returns to the 35-40 yard line which would be huge for us, since we play a field position game...
harris=x-factor.if he can get pressure up the middle.peyton will be off his rythm, forcing 3and outs or turnovers.this is the same game as last weekk with a better qb.lets hope for the same results
This. Can't let Collie get open like last game. He was absolutely laying it to Lito. Hope he's been watching a lot of film.
Jets gotta get pressure up the middle, Manning doesn't move much, and by the time an outside rusher (Pace/Thomas/Leonhard/Rhodes, Depending on the scheme) makes it to him, the ball will be gone already depending on how open a reciever is. If they can break through the middle, they wont have much trouble getting to manning. Once that "look" is on Manning's face, we may have the game won.
gholston is the true x-factor there is very little game tape of him doing anything positive for the colts to study and use in prepping for the game
Like the SD game watch for Revis to move around, but that said theres none better than adjusting than Manning
