I heard a couple of his shows, realized him pissing me off was exactly what he wanted, and then switch back to Michael Kay. I like the idea, but I think switching stations is probably enough. Imagine if this type of boycotting/email business got huge; someone would do a story on it and it would simply give him more publicity and free plugs. I say f*** him and just switch the station. They'll realize something's up when the rating drop...

They are truly the SOJ Jet fan that enjoys a teams great run by having a fat bastard tell them their team sucks. They cover it up by making statements like: Oh..its just entertainment! Oh..come on...dont take him so seriously! I just like to see what stupid thing he is going to say today! Meanwhile, Mike slowly removes the dildo from their posterior and runs to the bank with the ratings (money) they give him...bruised butt and all. Hope I answered the question.
For what it is worth, Chris Russo's show on Sirius Satellite Radio is excellent. He's been talking Jets all week. He wasn't a believer in the Jets last week, but gave them a ton of credit this week. For those who don't have satellite radio, you don't know what you are missing. Try it and you will never go back.
Im happy you brought that up dbj. I was always a big Russo fan..and the one thing about Russo, perhaps he had no choice working all those years with the righteous one, he always admitted when he was wrong. I did root for Mike once Chris left because of loyalty to the station. Doesnt surprise me in the least hes acting like that. I dont have it...I should have it. Happy you made that point.
If you are really serious about this I would suggest writing messages to the commercial sponsors of the show on YES and WFAN rather than the station itself. Let's face it it's all about ad revenue. Tell them you sill stop watching the show and will stop using their products if [enter whatever gripe you have here]. Not saying I support any sort of boycott, although I haven't been thrilled with Mike's demeanor towards the Jets. It has made for a heck of a compelling week though, and that is OK in my book. There's plenty of Jets cheerleaders out there too offset any negativity that Francessa may incite in us. If the Jets pull off the game in Indy it will be even more interesting next week on his show.
i agree with this thread 100%... i'm done with him...he is absolutely biased and has been since parcells left (and probably before parcells arrived). No Jets guests or interviews?? He says nothing about the game just defends his POV...its ridiculous and I'm done with this egomaniac.
I've been doing it for sometime now. earlier in the season I thought it was just an issue w/ the trash talking so I'd still tune in once in a while but then it's like he has an issue with everything JETS no matter what it is. 1050 has been ridiculous in coverage with the JETS...so there I stay. Ironically, it seems as the TV show is a little toned down from Radio. I think NBC would puill the plug if he did the shit he does on the radio...He still says it just not as blatantly

I always defend Mike but I read a good article in one of the papers this morning. This isn't the time for him to push buttons and try to get jet fans going. this is a time for us to celebrate this journey and he robbed alot of people of that w/ the nonsense he's been broadcasting.
That won't do anything, the only way to affect Mike is to not listen. I worked there for a while, Mike has alot of power there and getting a million e-mails will only bolster that. The only way they would ever do anything is if advertising revenue and ratings decrease(barring an Imus like controversial ending).
Mike has really pissed me off lately and just sounds old and delusional. Michael Kay is just an assclown to me. Thank god for Sirius NFL 124 in the afternoon, and Scott Farell at night on Howard 101.
Just sent in an email I suggest that everyone send in an email but refrain from using profanities because it will only ruin your credibility. Although we all want to curse out the fat fuck be objective and state the facts. I just enumerated the fact that although it is his job to be objective, his hubris and ego and antipathy for the Jets has denied him to be just that, objective.
A lot of us aren't even able to listen to Francesa during the day because of work/school, and the only reason I know about the crap he says about the Jets is from a thread dedicated to him. How about we stop coming onto the board and complaining about what he's saying day after day. That would be a start.
