a guy in work says he has a "possible connect" for tix. i told him i would be interested in tix b/c im taking my son and we have airfare condo and rental car already.but now another jets fan who knows him has jumped on my "coat tails" and only has a buddy's condo in ft lauderdale wants in. i told him i have first dibs and that the guy offered me first. his rebuttle is he knew this guy first and that he should be offered the tix. i know its just a pipe dream b/c a) the jets stilll need to win or this is for nothing b) this "possible connect" could turn out to be usual squat. so i have offered him my pinky finger for the rights to said tix. would extent would you go to for jets super bowl tix??
If this is literal, then I think you win (though, it does make me question how important my pinky finger really is). If we're talking possessions or money, then anything/everything I own is on the table.
First off-- I would give up: -my Team Signed 1986 World Series Ball (my cousin dated Jeff Innis so I paid nothing for it) -$500 per ticket (need 2) -custom fabricate a rockcrawling buggy (parts not included) That's it. I don't know what else. -
Good topic – I’ve been wrestling with this. Here’s the deal – I got a broker that has 10 nosebleeds in Miami that he said he could get me for $700 a pop. On one hand – this could potentially be a once in a lifetime deal, Miami is only about 4 hours for me, $700 isn’t THAT bad for a ticket. On the other hand – for $700 x (say six – 10 end up going with us) we could have one fuck of a party…plus I’m of the option that shit like the superbowl are fun for celebrities and millionaires with VIP access. Regular jabrones shoved in asses to elbows with a bunch of schmucks…not so much fun. I’m really torn – I don’t know if I want to do it or not.
Mike Fatcessa was talking about SB ticket prices the other day and of course, piling onto poor Jets fans who he knows are going to be looking for SB tickets if we win on Sunday. "When any NY team goes to the SB, you can forget about the price of the tickets. They're going to be through the roof... always are... like insane... ridiculously overpriced." Make me feel real good Mike. Fucking Jet-fan hater.
For what it's worth, I've been to "Sun Life" stadium and it seemed like there really weren't any bad seats in the place, unlike many stadiums where the nosebloods just aren't worth it.
I think I have what is shaping up to be the biggest "kick myself in the ass" moment of all time. I bought 2 Yoonew tickets as I do every year at the beginning of the season. For those of you who don't know they are like "Options" that can be traded and basically if your team makes it to the superbowl you get the tickets for whatever you paid at the beginning of the season. I had got 2 for $120. Here's the kick in the ass. After the loss to NE I SOLD them thinking the season was over and was happy because somehow I was able to double my initial outlay and get $240 for them. Wow am I sorry now. The seats I had are goin for over $600 now and there is no opportunity to buy them back since everyone is holding onto them. Blah....
If this does happen they should play the game at the new stadium and we can watch on the fancy new screens surrounded by 80,000 Jet fans. Great way to kick off the new place, it should be damn close to ready.
Prices on the official SB website start at $1900 for nosebleeds in the upper deck end zone (section 40something). The best seats for slightly more are section 102 - end zone, lower level at $2590 (after service fees and all the other bullshit its almost $3000 per ticket) I am willing to spend up $5000+- on 2 tickets. I was planning on driving to FL, leaving Thursday night and marathon'ing it down. My cousin lives less than an hour from "Land Fill" Stadium so I got a place to stay and driving down - although costly in gas (Chevy Avalanche), saves me the $$$ for plane tickets and rental car. I haven't seen any tickets going for $700 but if there's a place to buy them for that price - its well worth it.
I have 4 tickets. We can only go if we win the lottery and then buy 2 tickets on the secondary market and split the cost of the 4 tickets. 2- $800 2- $2500 --------- $6600/4= $1650 per
Super Bowl Tickets Looks like tickets to the game in MIami start at $1800 to get in and go up from there. A decent side line upper goes for about $2500 and up to about $6000 for ticket of your choice. These are prices for pickup in Miami at a hotel. The good thing is you can get your money back less 3% if the Jets don't make it to the Super Bowl. Just go to ebay and take look and see for your self
No broker is going to sell you SB tix for $700 a pop. Tix are currently selling at $1700 a pop. If the Jets win I bet they will be $3000 a pop. I doubt your broker connect would work out. But no matter if you want to spend the money, you should get them for $700 regardless if you are planning on going. Even if you could get them for $700, you could easily sell them for $1700 each. Plus there is the cost of hotel and airfair. So you have to ask yourself what kind of party you could throw for $30,000. You could probably get 10 "cheerleaders" from the personal adds on craigslist to dress up in jets clothes and come to your party. I bet they would be more attractive than the Jets actual cheerleaders too. That said, if the jets win, I will be spending the money for tix. I have to be there. I've been to rediculous parties, but I've never seen the Jets win the SB in person. It could be 40 years till we get this close again at which point if I'm still alive will be way to old to go to a game. How can you put a price on that?
He might if that Jew was family! ? and if I buy the tickets, I would use them?I'm prick but I wouldn?t bend over a Jets fan for a grand in the name of profit in this situation. Your thoughts on the party are the same as mine?we can have hookers swinging from the chandeliers. Like you say ? if I can get the tickets for 700 I would expect that to be the cheapest thing all weekend. Last paragraph is pretty much where I?m leaning.
