Has been announced. It will be on Thursday the 21st in Times Square. No time is noted on the Jets website. In case anyone is interested, our butt ugly cheerleaders will be signing their calendars at the Jets store today. Finally, it appears that Florham Park is hosting a "sendoff" for the team on Saturday @ 10:30AM Here's the link. http://www.newyorkjets.com/championship_week
I posted this in another thread but it got lost. There will be a meet and greet w/ Dustin Keller, Jim Leonhard and Jay Feely in New Rochelle Thursday evening. PM me if interested and I'll give you all the details.
I was there for their "sendoff" to Houston to kick the season off. Better f***in' believe I'll be there for this one. :jets:
How was the last "sendoff"? They have anything else going on there (ex players, etc.), or is it just a bunch of fans yelling at the bus? Curious if I should make the trip with the kids.
Well, they were expecting (from what I heard) a few thousand fans, but due to the weather predictions (downfall all morning), only about 400-500 people showed up. However, they had two (I think) big bubble playgrounds setup for the kids (like they did during many of their open-to-public practice sessions), plus the Jets shop tent, plus raffles, plus some D-list TV personalities, cheerleaders, etc. Really, the best part was, since so few people went, the fans who showed up got to high-five about 25% of the team as they went down the fan "runway". Personally, I high-five'd Rex, Cotch, Clemens, Faneca, Leonhard, Greene, and Sanchez (among others): I'm standing right behind the guy with the camera. Overall, great experience, I'll never forget it. :jets: EDIT: P.S. Fireman Ed was also f***in' awesome. That man is my hero.
are there going to be any pre game rallies in indy? before or after the game? where will all jet fans be hanging out?
I'll be at rally at Times Square..its starts at 5:30 this time so no worrying about going back to work...any word who will be there ex-player wise?
Where is the training center? I would be coming from the north....80 to 287, etc.. it is off 24 isn't it ? anyone know what exit and directions from there ? Can't seem to find them on the site, and I think it is too new for my Garmin...
Thanks for posting that. I just looked up directions from my house (Brooklyn). Not so bad, it says about 50-60 minutes. I may go with a friend of mine.
Cool...Thank you. I tried plugging that address in on googlemaps before but I couldn't get it to work for some reason... probably misspelled something
