Wow! this thread went off topic straight to a flame thread... Manning love him or hate him, he's a class act... I believe most Colts that served under Dungy for a few years have taken that from him... TD wasn't a great coach, but he is a great person...
who said anything about Dungy?? Manning is a class act for sure and I have nothing but respect for Dungy. I plan on buying his book.
Manning is too damn classy, makes the guy impossible to hate. Revision won't have problems though. The rest of the d needs to follow suit.
Really because he did that too average defenses all year right? We've shut down teams with better offenses then yours all year. Just don't act surprised when it happens on Sunday.
You haven't shut down any QBs like Manning. There may be statistically better offenses but you haven't seen 4 quarters of Peyton Manning.

It's certainly debatable that the Texans offense is better then the Colts outside of teh QB position but the difference being Manning. I'm not goona pretend the guy is garbage because he is the best QB in the league but to act as if he's the only great QB is downright stupid.
Manning is an excellent QB......but like you said...there are others on the same level. The guy only has one ring.....
I'm a Jets fan and I'll let you know how dumb that comment was. So what if he only has one ring? He's still hell to stop, he's the best QB in the league, and probably the best straight up passer of all time. Whether he has one ring or five rings, he'll be just as hard to stop.
I think MBGreen's point was that these Colts fans think Manning is unstoppable, when in actuality, he's been stopped in the Playoffs several times before, rather than winning the SB every time, or even multiple times.
you missed the point i was trying to make. I'm not discounting Manning in the least.....I'm just saying he isn't a god...and that we've stopped QBs of his caliber already this season (Brady, Brees). I know you're gonna say we lost the Saints....but we also held Brees to 150 yds passing and 0 TD's.
Manning is not like Brees or Brady, he is better than both and he will control the game from the line. Manning is head and shoulders above anyone else in the league.
