like others metioned Joe isn't going to bash Mike..........he owes him his job pretty much. Frankly they got Mike to at least admit that the Jets "pounded" the Chargers in the second half....of course he had to say the Chargers should have been up 17-0 at halftime.......but he isn't that far off on that, i knew we were fortunate to be down only 7-0 at the time...believe me Mike wouldn't come on air with them if he didn't know he has some control over their fate and the situation as a whole side note, listened to the dog on Sirius yesterday, he had Madden & Simms on.....good show...it's funny though, he obviously has a national audience, and most of his callers don't know shit about the Jets and are pretty unhappy they are in the title game because they are "boring".....one dope complained that their "wild cat" won't work against NFC teams.......lol, what did they run like 1 or 2 of those against SD?

Well its not working for me. Since all his Jet bashing just makes him sound like a fat retard I've been switching over to Michael Kay in the afternoons now.
I think he's definately being hypercritical of the Jets and their fans for ratings purposes. (He has a sports show in NY and he's purposely riling up Jets fans so they listen with rigorous eager and anticipation with some of them calling up to take shots at him so then he can take shots back - it's a circular process) I'm just saying that Jets fans are becoming a bit hypersensitive over everything Mr. Know-it-all says. And you're right, the bottom line is, he has said some RIDICULOUS things about the Jets. All I'm saying is, people should keep in mind it is strictly for ratings purposes and that the guy obviously realizes he's being unfair to the Jets. Again, when pressed, he admitted that the Jets were better than the Chargers on Sunday and "whipped" them in the second half.
As has been mentioned numerous times....he's doing this just for laughs. He knows that so many Jets fans are hyper-sensitive, and he gets a rise out of it. He doesn't actually believe half the things he says. He does this for compelling radio, to get people to call in, and to get people to talk about him in 100 page threads on fan forums. He'd be laughing his fat ass off if he read this thread, knowing that there are alot of suckers out there. If you really want to "send a message" or "teach a lesson", ignore him. As a Yankees fan, I know I get a kick out of it when he pushes Mets fans buttons in the same way.
Any Jets fans that listens to this guy regularly since the beginning of this season would know that this FatFuck never gives the Jets credit... in fact he is less critical of the Jets after a lose than a Jets win.
All of this is true. But if you think he doesn't have anything personal against the Jets, then you're blind. Else, why doesn't he bash the Giants when they're successful? Couldn't he boost his ratings by antagonizing those fans? Sounds like he's jealous, in my opinion.

This is awkwardly very true. And yeah, he's obviously not a Jet fan by any stretch of the imagination. But I honestly don't think the guy "hates" the Jets. Again, most of the idiotic shit he says is to get Jets fans riled up. Also, he's definately not a Giants fan. He unfairly killed the Giants for years (after Parcells left, of course) along with his moronic partner. He hated Strahan because Strahan openly didn't respect him or take him seriously. He hated Shockey for the same reason. He didn't start liking the Giants until Eli got there. (As everyone knows, he has a major hard-on for the Mannings - just wait until he starts waxing poetic about Peyton later this week)
