Simms did a great job this past Sunday, and he mentioned that Rivers had a DVD of every single third down against the Jets this year, and he watched it at least twice the day before and multiple times before that. That was in addition to the prep he did. It didnt do him any good.

Peyton is good because he is good, not for any other reason. He is a brilliant man who happens to be an athlete. We have many intelligent players and coaches that need to outsmart him. Simple as that.

manning would simply stiff arm gholston, or use his superior elusiveness to get away from ghost. chances are gholston would have a clean shot and just miss him!!

other than reggie wayne, i'm not too sure that manning has as many options as rivers. i personally believe that we played a better offense last sunday....i know rivers is not up to mannings level yet, but he isnt too far behing. gates is better than clark. etc. etc.

I think you guys need ot stick to some what the same game plan offensivley you did last week. Run run run and run again. I personally dont see this as a blow out in anyones favor, I think it will stay close. Wear thier asses down at the line.

    I think that's a pretty safe bet.

The part I am worried about is the Jets sticking to the same defensive gameplan. The Colts would probably have picked that weak zone apart in the first half.

Do you guys think the Jets will run a similar zone D as they did last week to shut down Dallas Clark and other threats or stick to a normal man-to-man?

True that, Manning quick release is a bitch...just have to try and get pressure in his face quickly, force some bad throws, hopefully twords Revis..dude is a beast!

Your kidding right? How many 100 reception players did the Chargers have this year? How many WR's on SD had the receptions as the No. 3/4 guys on the Colts had? How did Peyton and the Colts do what they did with just Reggie Wayne?

Don't underestimate Colts defense. They get hot in the postseason, more often than not. That's how they won their recent SB. Keep that in mind. This defense may not be big, but it is fast and most of all they do not miss tackles. Running on them will be very, VERY tough.

    PM is unreal.

A few weeks after he won the SB, he is at the Colts facility at 7 AM watching film of next year's DB's and secondary guys who he has not faced before. Best QB in the game...a few weeks after the Super Bowl....instead of relaxing or filming commercials, he's at work at 7 AM.

Ya think Jamarcus Russell is studying film at 7 AM in the off-season a few weeks after the season ends ??

    Here's what I don't understand.

Throughout 2006, the Colts were TERRIBLE against the run. They had like 3 games in a row where the opposotition averaged like 250+ yards a game against them. They weren't bad...they were a SIEVE.

The the playoffs came...and with nobody hurt suddenly coming back, the same guys stopped the run (I think after the 1st playoff game).....played 2 or 3 great games in a row leading up to the SB.

Still not sure to this day what caused the change.
