i enjoy the jets much more when i am not around here. i now check to see the psl thread and keep it moving. arguing with people on this site lessens my enjoyment of the jets.

Yo! You ignored my warning about Lady Gaga canceling on your wife hours before you realized it, and now you're leaving me out of the Class of '04.
I'm an old timer squared. I first joined TGG at the end of the 2000 season when Groh left the Jets for UVA. I've been posting here ever since. I started rooting for the Jets in 1966 and have had STs since 1980. This unexpected run is so much fun. Still, I am also trying not to get too excited about because I have had my heart ripped out too many times. The road ahead is pretty steep - Indy and then NO or Minny. I'm not sure too many of us would be happy with a SB loss, even though just getting to the big game is something this team has not accomplished since SB III. I'm expecting the worst so that I continue to be surprised by the wins. It's been great coming to this board almost daily for 9 years through the good and the bad!!!!
Registering just to block out Jessie  Like I said in the BS thread, I'll be 40 in April, around the 5 year anniversary on here, which makes one eighth of my life. But I've been a Jet fan since the Atari 2600 was the closest thing I had to a computer. Its just as well, nobody would still be here if we had to go through the Kotite years together. Special salute to all the real life old timers; why are we still in love with this team anyway, we must have several screws loose.
hmmmm...Kind sir...you must go to the bs section and a tagged thread has the birthday tree...and put yourself in there...cant read minds!! But yes..I will put you in
If the Jets win the Superbowl, I'm going to look like Morpheus at the end of Matrix Revolutions... "I have imagined this moment for so long. Is this real?"
It's been 11 years since we've been this close to the Lombardi. I have no doubt that Rex will have our boys ready to pull another upset out of his bag of tricks. No matter what happens Sunday at Indy it's been a great first year!:beer::beer:
One of the few times it's nice to admit I'm an old fossil. Born January '55. Started listening to this team's games when I was 10 years old on a little "7 transistor" radio. I remember those times very well. My favorite player was Maynard. I was old enough at the age of 14 to be able to remember our championship year very well. That was an amazing time... the Knicks, the Mets and the Jets. I don't follow basketball at all anymore, and not much of a baseball fan anymore either. Still as die hard a Jets fan as I've ever been. This run, and the future outlook for the Jets has never looked so good since the Namath days. OK, well maybe the year Gastinasshole cost us a run at the Supe... that was a good team too...
i've been here since 2000 and i love this message board...i get all my jets info from this website and the people on the board
1-4-55 I remember the "Hiedi" game too. Big event, went to a friend's house for the game because they had a color TV. Must have been 4 adults and 8 kids watching. Sitting on the floor, watching the game. We flipped out when they left the game. My friend's dad turned on the radio, and we all just sat there with our jaws hitting the floor. For the next ten years I hated Heidi. I wanted to smack that little blond haired bitch all over the neighborhood. but... that was also the day I came to respect and like Freddie B and the Snake. Those two are still amoung my all time NFL favorites. Heartbreak and the Jets have always been bed mates. I hope all you young 'uns get to see another Championship. There are few things in life that are as sweet as a Jets win in the Super Bowl. Trust me.
