The Jets just beat what many people believed was the best team in football after trailing by 4 into the 4th quarter. Why is 5 points in the 3rd insurmountable? I admit I didn't think the Jets would have won that Indy game but no chance? I also didn't think they would win yesterdays game down by 4. Up until the Keller TD I thought they would lose. I figured we'd settle for a FG after it got to 3rd down. But they did win! Just because I didn't think they would win doesn't mean they can't.
He just admitted he "knew the jets had made adjustments in their secondary, but he didn't want to give the caller any credit because I was being a pain in the neck... the guy got the right answer, so I didn't want him to get him any credit". Fantastic. He just opened back in this hour with some credit. Perhaps he realizes you can only antagonize a fan base (and your callers) so long...

The gist of today's show has been that "the Jets didn't earn their Playoff berth" and "should be grateful to the Colts." Can someone call in and ask: If the Jets win on Sunday does that mean they would have won in the first match-up too, had the Colts kept their starters in for the entire game? Which thereby proves they earned the Playoff berth?" He just admitted that the caller an hour or so ago was right about the switch from Zone to Man, but "I had to give him a hard time because he came up with the right answer." AYFKM?

Maybe his producer reprimanded him. Now he's saying the Jets imposed their will on SD in the 2nd Half. Made a bunch of plays. I've just realized that the real way to piss him off when you call in isn't to argue with him; rather, just make a point or observation about something while expressing your joy of where the Jets are right now. Every time someone has called in saying how they're elated/giddy/etc, he tries to hurry them up and his tone curdles. It's great.

Not sure if that was supposed to be some kind of joke. Then someone asked him if he wants the Jets to win, and he said it's a question "I will answer in due time." WTF? Either answer or don't. "It's not important" "there was no top defense this year" "I don't remember Pittsburgh banging their chest about whether they were the best defense in the league or not" Either his memory sucks or he wasn't paying attention. Pittsburgh made a huge deal when they beat Baltimore twice (and then again in the playoffs) about how they were the real top defense, not the Ravens. Some of the players did, and a lot of the media did (the magazines, etc.).

lol who just heard the doosh avoid the question of who was the best defense this yr because its far and beyond the jets. Then he brings up this crazy spew about how no one remembers last yrs best defense wen obv everyone does in the steelers. then he doesn't hang up on a caller whos a clear jets hater who said the jets would lose by 40 than gave a score of 42-7. Then mike says he brings up a great point and that the jets dont have the best..dominant defense in the league. I like how he stopped himself after he said they dont have the best defense and then quickly changed it to dominant. oh and someone asked him if he thinks the jets have a chance to win and he goes "what do you mean by a chance" and the caller goes within 7 points in the 4th qtr and then mike never answers the question and goes off topic.
What I can't fathom is how he won't laud the Jets D, but several times throughout this show he has said how fast and ferocious the Colts D is. I want someone to ask who he thinks has the better D. He'd prolly say the Colts.
