Similarities that jump out at you:

    1. It is Jets vs Colts again.
    2. Colts have the leagues best QB
    3. Jets have a young talented QB
    4. Jets are major underdogs.

If the Jets win this destiny at work here.

How about this year we are celebrating the AFL and the team that gave the AFL cred is on the verge of shocking the world again?

    I predicted this thread. :/

Just shut up and figure out what jersey for this weekend. Let's play some football, kick some Manning ass, and worry about Miami and how its exactly 40 superbowls later and its the new QB vs the experienced old guy (probably Favre) when we get there.

Is this the Jets fan mentality? "Destiny?"

Instead of discussing Xs and Os and how the teams match up, and why those match ups foretell a Jets win, you're hoping for "destiny."

I guess it HAS been forever since you won anything.

Historically, we always whoop Peytons little bitch ass in the playoffs. Shall we talk about the past appearances? 2003. 41-0. Remember that?

I imagine you will hang your head in shame next weekend, but that will be long after your inevitable banning here.

It's funny, you speak of X's and O's and I haven't seen you make a single post as if you knew any, and I haven't seen you post in any threads that are actually discussing X's and O's.

Take your half-assed poodle shit back to whatever drooling Colts board thinks it's worth reading.

'09 Colts sound like the '68 Colts

The more I read about the Indy Colts as this title game approaches, the more they remind me of the 68' team that choked on the Big Apple.

--Both teams dominated their seasons (the Baltimore team lost 1 game during the season; Indy, 2 games)

--Both teams QBs won the NFL MVP that season (Morrall and Manning)

--Both teams have closed mouth coaches (Shula and Caldwell) who don't like trash talking and have asked their team to adopt the same attitude

--Both teams have enormous pressure on them to win this game (Shula's because of the AFL/NFL war; Caldwell's because they gave up the undefeated season)

--Both teams featured QBs (Unitas & Manning) that were arguably the best in history at their position, although Johnny U was hurt and only played late in the game

--Both teams face NYJ's team that's playing loud and loose

Hopefully, the pattern holds this weekend and...

--Both Colts teams will lose championships in stunning upsets by the Jets

Namath was a 4 year veteran at the peak of his game. Earl Morral was hardly the best QB in football. Unitas was injured and barely played that year or during the SB.
