You know what's weird...listening to all these experts not picking the JETS, making excuses for the JETS wins. Basically just shitting on our wins... They are so busy backtracking that they are not talking football..Everything is excuses and luck and this and that. Whenever it's time to pick a game they say the "Rookie" thing is why we will lose.. Well think about this you so called "EXPERTS". Not only is he winning but look at how he's doing it... With MOXY! This Rookie you speak of basically has gone on the road twice and in both games faced 8-9 in the box. Add to that, in both games we got down 7pts.!!! I'll say it again..WE WERE LOSING IN BOTH GAMES! Why does no one mention this? That just exudes confidence! The Rookie is performing at a playoff level. In Yesterdays game he threw his 1st INT since the Atlana game! and all the while, he rebounded and showed NO fear. Now, I'm not saying he carried the team. The Defense won Yesterdays game but he is more than holdinghis own. Yet, all the experts said the Rookie was the reason we'd lose! Well Experts I got your Rookie right here!
That's my boy! Am I the only one who caught flashbacks of Lamont breaking the exact same run in San Diego!! It was soo freaky
The kid's got "It", that's for sure. Even when you guys lose next week (sorry, I couldn't resist) I think the confidence he has gained in this post season will go a long way next year. Watching you guys beat the Patriots twice in the regular season next year will be a treat :breakdance:
Peyton Manning looks like one of the Beastie Boys from the video for Sabotage in your avatar... And yes, our rookies are fucking great. I feel like Greene has it easy; it's so much simpler for a RB. But Sanchez is like an avalanche, once he gets started, it becomes THAT much harder to stop.
He sure has stepped it up by doing less...and that's a good thing. He only had 100 yrds. passing today, but he played smart and made some nice crisp throws when they were needed. With our run game and defense, if Sanchez just plays well and minimizes mistakes, we are one formidable team. I just don't want this team to be a carbon copy of the Ravens though... Whatever happens from here on out, this kid will become a bonafide superstar if he continues to improve like he has in the last few weeks.
Yup, all three rookies. Wait, can we consider Braylon a rookie for this being his first season with a real NFL team? Great thread Royalty!
In his rookie year he's already done more than Chad Pennington did in his career here, and I like Chad. Two more wins and he's going to have that postseason aura that Brady used to have...
Was anyone else holding their breath, praying for Sanchez NOT to throw it to a CB on 3rd and short, when he ultimately found Keller?
No matter how far we go on this journey, this experience and taste for our RookieS is invaluable. Everything is gravy
I think what has happened already is pretty imprssicve. He has all the tools the issue was w/ his attitude of thinking has has to make a big play on every single pass. Seems he is realizing that he doesn't have to quickly with Rex
I am enjoying this. No one wants to give Credit to the NY Jets and they are earning it. I want to see our guys dismantle the Colts and teach the NFL a lesson.
I find myself holding my breath more when someone is running with the ball. Even then you can see Greene with two arms on the ball when he is getting tackled.
Great thread, that late TD throw really impressed me. That was not a rookie play, he definitely has the "it" factor that few QBs do, I'm so glad we found our franchise QB.
Not only that did you see the stat of Sanchez on 3rd down yesterday? It was like week 1 against Huston again. He was like 8-11 with a TD and a 111QB rating I believe. Might have only had 100 yards but the bulk of those yards were critical money throws. That is what a true winner does. Rivers can be great during an 11 game winning streak but when it mattered yesterday he played like a scared rookie afraid of getting Gang Green planted!!! Also, I love how he made perfect throws when he had to and kept Edwards involved. When Edwards doesn't have time to think himself out of a catch and just uses his ability he is money.
