The Jets formula of defense, run the ball, and limit Sanchez is finally working because where Thomas Jones would get 2 or 3 yards per carry, Greene is gaining 4,5,6 and allowing Sanchez to convert the makeable 3rd down conversions. This is the difference between Ryan and Mangini...Eric would never have given Greene these opportunities until it was too late. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I hate to say it but we may never have seen him if Leon wasn't hurt. Who knows if he had stayed healthy what would have happened
David Harris, Darrelle Revis, Mark Sanchez, Dustin Keller, and Shonn Greene had great games. We traded up to get all 4 of these guys, and they are 25 and under.

I'll eat crow... when we moved up in the third, I wanted Jarron Gilbert.... I didnt think we needed another RB till next year, and the fact he was inactive for the first week or so, just validated my point. Well with Leon gone, I just thought we were screwed, well you know what, Greene hasnt just made me eat crow, he has exceeded everyones expectations and is THE reason we are still alive and kicking.

Dude has good vision and speed to burn he has the ability to break one at any point nuff respect to TJ tho for getting us tough yards when we need them
leonhard might be my favorite jet. It amazing how much effort he puts into the game. Easily one of the best pickups.
The current backfield situation Jones/Greene reminds me alot of Martin/Jordan, especially during the 2004 run. I was screaming for Herm to let Jordan run the ball more against Pittsburgh, and he just kept going back to Martin who was doing what Jones is doing....2 or 3 yards at a time. What a difference with Rex. I would reserve Jones for goal lines and closing runs where he's got more proven hands.
Look, I am one of the Biggest Greene fans here..I threw a party when we drafted him, but I'm not gotta punk TJ out. The guy has been MONEY for 2 fukin years... To say he doesn't cut or anything is a little BS IMO Why do JETS fans have to hate 1 love 1? They are Both GREAT JETS!
