    Patriots to draft Tebow?
    1/17/2010 9:40:30 AM

Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that one NFL executive he talked to expected the Patriots to use their first round pick on Florida QB Tim Tebow.

    http://theredzone.org/BlogDescription.aspx?EntryId=2572

I personally think Tebow is going to be a bust in the NFL so this is really funny to me. My only question is what are they going to have to give up to trade up and pass Jacksonville to get him?

If they draft Tebow I'll be laughing sooo hard!

If they draft him with a 1st rd pick I'll just roll over and die from laughter...!

The Pats have drafted badly for a couple of years now but so bad? I have to see it to believe it...

Thank god we fired Mangini....otherwise we'd end up drafting Tebow.....it would be the Vernon Gholston "bait & switch" all over again.

No way would they use a first round pick on him..

The Jags are taking Tebow so they can keep the club in J-ville.

The first of a billion speculations before the draft. LaCanfora seems to post just about anything he hears.

That pick would make my draft day. Tebow takes about 30 seconds to wind up and throw the ball, he would be a sitting duck in the pocket against a Rex Ryan D. Please football gods, let this happen!:pats_suck:

    No chance of this happening.

Some of these "reports" really are comical

Not a fucking chance. They have huge needs at defensive end, linebacker, offensive line, not to mention the receiving and running back groups are both looking like they need some new life. No way in hell they're going to use a first round pick (which seems like it would be a total reach for Tebow anyways) on a project who you aren't even sure what position he will play. (Now that I've said this watch it happen).

What makes you guys think they'll use him as a QB?

Tom Brady has at least 5 seasons left in this league, and he's not going anywhere.

Tim Tebow would simply be a Wildcat QB and a powerback for the Patriots. He would be a hell of a role player in that offense.

That would shock me a bit. But they could deal Brady to San Fan with those two picks. Not saying it would happen but anything is possible.

doubt it would be in the first, howver it would be a nice fit.beli took his spread offense from meyer.beli and meyer are good friends.it would work well for tebow.give him a few years to work on his mechanics.if he gets a good qb coach and time he will be a good qb.he's competitive loves the game and is coachable.

I saw another article saying SF would draft Tebow because he's a "Singletary kind of guy." I think they can pretty much invent a reason for any team to draft him.

You mean that he will openly discuss his personal, private family issues with a complete stranger with whom a prospective employer will force him to speak?
