What? They didn't have all their 6'7 WRs for that game?

The good news is that Herm and Chad will not be controlling the clock.

Say what you want about Herm, and I had the same issues with him as everyone else - not playing to win in '04, ultra-conservative offense and passive defense, being a bit of a phony with the way he was always looking for a way out and finally got one...but he did take us to the playoffs three times, more than any other coach in Jet history (Weeb, Walton and Walt twice, Bill, Mangini, Coslet and Rex once).

yes and imagine all that talent on those rosters with a coach with a clue?

We would be talking multiple AFC championship games.

In 2004? We had a QB with his arm hanging on by a thread. Maybe 2002, but Pennington was in his first year, and he gassed out against Oakland.

I think having "a coach with a clue" would imply some insurance for Chad's arm that wasn't named Jay Fiedler.

QB kneel to line up the kick is what i'm focusing on.

and Herm's day spa doesn't help because lazy TCs is what usually gets players injured. Hence 2005.

Well injuries are a way of life in the NFL but you are correct. He ran a country club.................... not getting into a debate 1.) I know you agree and 2.) The Jets have Rex now. Fuck Herm............

Bill and Al Groh only got to the playoffs once in four years with those talented rosters. Mangini once in three years. It wasn't just a matter of coaching.

Where was our number one receiver or dominant defensive player during those years? We had Abraham for a couple years and he always dissapeared in the playoffs the way Tomlinson has lately. Keyshawn was the only true number one receiver and he was never dominant like a Fitzgerald, Wayne, Andre Johnson, etc. Other than Vinny in '98 and Chad in '02 and '04 we didn't really have great play from the QB position either.

And even Herm's country club had nothing to do with the fact that Chad's made of glass and gets hurt every other year.
