I just got one and was wondering if I got this waaaaaaaaaaaay late. It's an exact miniature of the week 2 ball. With a note inside from the JETS. I usually get stuff about a week later than the rest of the STH...but ...uhhhhh.
You guys want to hear something weird?? So there was a box at my front door which was addressed to my apartment but some other random dude's name...I didn't know what else to do so I let my roommate open it (screw that, I'm not taking responsibility for potentially opening someone else's mail) and behold we have the Jets Game Ball replica.. I guess they screwed up the names and addresses a bit, but at least I still got it and luckily decided to open it instead of sending it back.
I recieved one in the mail with a note also. I purchased psl's for next year so my guess is that it only went to psl holders.
Royal Tee is a season tix holder but as far as I know he is still holding out for next year. Maybe it's Woody's way of getting him to commit sooner. What did this magical note say?
Okay, same here! Just got my ball with my address and someone else's name on the box! So weird! Oh, and I didn't get tix for next year so I assume every season ticket holder will be getting one of these, unless the address/name screwups are that bad. The note says something about the Pats game and then a pitch for tickets, saying "Don't let this be your last game ball" and more crap like that. I have to say, the ball is pretty nice though.
Grrr...I bought my tickets, too. I know it seems lame, but I would love to get one of these. This was by far the most electrifying game I've ever been too. I actually still have this wallpaper on my desktop at work: http://www.newyorkjets.com/fan_zone/wallpapers/915
Yep, these were either leftovers or a snafu on the part of HQ. I rechecked the box and it had my address but some company on it.... but it had my address damnit! Got that right. I was thinking the same thing after reading the note but then again, I have never missed a game as a STH. Maybe it has something to do with that? We hope you enjoy your game ball from Rex. After all, no one deserves one more than you. Through the ups and downs, good times and not so good times-you were there for all of them. Of course, this season saw its fair share of happiness and heartbreak. The epic win at home against the Patriots. The nail-biting losses through out the year. The stadium curtain closer that catapulted us into the playoffs. It's been quite a ride, but in the end, you made the difference. We've got some great times ahead in our new stadium. We hop you will be there to share them, and cheer the Jets on to new heights. We appreciate your support, and look forward to seeing you next season. Don't let this be your last game ball. GO JETS
