Jets take Benn at 25. Bryant goes right after.

So I decided to figure out why Benn over Bryant and I came up with some reasons I'd take him over Bryant:

    - He's 6'2 220, which is prototypical size.
    - He's more mature than Bryant. No character concerns.
    - Jets love Big 10 guys.
    - He could/should run faster.
    - His lack of production can be blamed on his crappy QB.
    - He fits playing inside better than Bryant, and if we take any WR they're playing inside for at least a year. ...Unless they chose to let Edwards go, but I can't really see that.

And overall, besides JJP in the top 12 I think this is a pretty solid mock. They're conscious of other teams needs, which is impressive. I guess you can say that Cody at 5 is too high, but if the Chiefs sign Seymour (they're sleepers to do so IMO) then they'll just be looking for a NT to develop.

    I realize that.

Iunno, the dude didn't even play this year.

That word idiot gets thrown around here alot. Why wouldn't it factor into the decision?

    Yea...Benn can play WR too.

Who said anything about me? I'm working off of their mock and trying to think of reasons why Benn would be picked over Bryant. Shit, I'd take Bryant over Benn if the pick were mine to make...pretty damn quickly too.

6'1 or 6'2 220 gives him a stouter build than Bryant. Bryant's attitude might not be that of someone who doesn't like to go over the middle at the pro level.

The way I see it...keep Edwards...take Benn. Let go of Edwards...try to land Bryant over anyone else.

If Taylor Mays is on the board when we pick at 25 and we take a WR I will be pissed.

if we are sitting in that spot, I would think thats a scenario in which we need to trade down.

We do not need a WR who is essentially a mirror image of one of our guys, at least not in the first round.

We could use some mid round picks and an early pick in round 2 wouldnt hurt either....

1.) Unless we trade Rhodes (which is very possible) we won't take a safety in the 1st.

2.) Taylor Mays sucks, have you watched him this year?

If we keep Edwards there is no good reason to draft a WR in round 1. Especially with Dan Williams and other very good DL prospects still on the board.

Yes I agree he is no longer a top 10 pick like he was projected at the beginning of the year, but I still see him in the 1st round.

Why not? They're both good players, and Benn is more Cotchery (with better size and speed) than Edwards. I'd love for us to give Sanchez more weapons. It's the kind of move that completes an offense if Washington is brought back or we drafted/signed someone else.

Taylor Mays does suck. He'll go high, and I'd even understand if we took him...but I am not a fan.
