Prediction: Vincent Jackson(SG), Floyd(C), Nanee(SF), Gates(PF), and Sproles (PG) challenge the Jets to a game of basketball. The Jets send out Cotchery(PF), Edwards(C), Clowney(SF), Revis(SG), and Drew Coleman(PG) Drew Coleman punches everyone in the nuts and the Jets win. No points are scored.
Why was our D trying to stop Palmer and not the running game? The Bengals had one healthy WR and they were 27th in the league in pass attempts and 4th in rushing attempts this year. If you were playing the Jets would you try to stop Sanchez first? I love Palmer but the fact is since his knee injury he hasn't come back to the level he was once at. This year he wasn't close to one of the elite QB's in football. The Bengals also didn't have legit weapons in the passing game in the playoffs. They were a totally one demensional team who was still able to run all over us against a stacked box much of the game. Not to mention it was freezing out. If Green can run on SD like he did against the Bengals and Sanchez is perfect yes we have a great chance. I think you are going to see a more athletic D than you might think. I watched the cowboys game and the boys have a very good diverse O. They moved the ball but they didn't lite them up and they didn't run all over them. For us to win this game the OL has to outright dominate the LOS and Sanchez is going to have to make allot of big plays. You can talk D all you want but this O presents a huge challenge to our D. They don't hang around and dink their way down the field, they make lots of big plays and score quickly.
Rex Ryan "We beat them by 14 points. Its not like we eaked out a one point lead. I know we played against the jv team but they all put a colts uniform on." This guy is too funny. That must instill a lot of confidence in his team.
I think the Jets are almost identical to the Ravens. Statistically the Jets have a better defense but I give the edge to the Ravens. They have more talent on Defense (Revis=Reed but no Jets to compare to Suggs or Ray Lewis). The weakness of the Jets defense is their 4 man rush and lack of blitzing talent. Their blitzes too often get picked up. Thank God for a stellar secondary to cover up. However, the Jets have a better running game and offensive line than the Ravens. That's why I say Jets and Ravens are about equal. So, I predict a similar result to Colts win over Ravens 20-3. Jets will score a little more and give up a little more. Colts will stack the line 8 or 9 man fronts, blitz all day and say, "We want Sanchez to beat us." Colts: 28 Jets: 10 BUT BUT....I think the Jets can win if they get some good breaks....fumbles, kickoff/ interception returns, injury to Manning or Colts Left Tackle. Anyway, this is all gravy. None of thought at the end of the regular season, "This is the best team in the League." To believe they have an advantage against the Colts that essentially what you would need to believe. I'm just hoping we get lucky and win it all (like the Giants).
JETS DEFENSE IS BETTER THAN THE RAVENS AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE. It really isn't close at all. The jets stop the run which is what the Ravens do best, but no one has the secondary the jets have. How can you say Ravens d is better when the jets have the number one D in almost every category.
