I found the first few paragraphs of this article interesting, especially considering how pissed I was when Cincy was acting all bad ass when they stuffed us on our first run. :)

I also remember a few other fans in the bar I was at begin saying we need to start throwing the ball, after the first series or two. Of course, I retorted: "Hell no. Run, run, run. All day."

Brandon Moore loves the run block. He's one of our best at it actually. Now that we've got Shonn we can run it all day.

The sad and confused faces on that Bengal's sideline was priceless... I almost felt bad for them since we've been in that position oh so many times...

The trade-up for Greene looks brilliant right about now. There was no telling that Leon would get hurt in the early part of the season, but I am not talking about that so much as I am talking about how TJ was banged up last week. If Greene wasn't on this team in the wild card week, it's more than likely that the Jets go one and done.

The Tennessee Titans were committed to running the ball against the Chargers, and rumor has it, they had a pretty decent running back too.

It gives even more of a reason why Tanny should get some consideration for Exec as the year.

Every significant move he has made (early draft picks and free agent pickups) has had a positive result except for Gholston. And if I'm correct Gholston was Mangina's choice.

Our first and second round draft picks from 2006 & 2007:
    Brick
    Mangold
    Clemens
    Revis
    Harris

4 out of 5 are All-Pro caliber players.

We Do Have To Run The Early An Doften. We Need To Get A Lead, We Cannot Afford To Play From Behind Aginst The Chargers We Need To Be Up By 17 Points By The Start Of Thr 4th To Make Me Feel Safe. Ofcourse More Of A Lead Would Be Great. But I Have A Feeling Its A Fieldgoal Game. Lets Go Jets Run The Ball Play D, And Take Atleast 3 Shots Down Field. 2 Deep Balls To Edwards, Please Catch It. Then Flea Flicker To Cotchery. I Think This Lil Bit Of Warm Weather Will Help Our Pass Game A Lil And Our Running Backs Will Be More Explosive. Shonn Greene Equals Big Day. Im Ready Lets Go. Got To Get A Lead And Keep It Ealry

And they ran for 180 or something? The Jets are not the Titans.

the Jets look more like the 2007/2008 Giants than they do the current Titans team......stellar defense and a monster run game.

I'm very confident in Shonn Greene's ability to run the ball. If Jones isn't hot then send the rookie in! Run it every time... i'll take 3-4yd gains any day

I understand that the Jets are not the titans, I am simply pointing out that you are not the only "run first" team we have faced this year.

From 20|||||||||||20 you can run all you want. In the red zone, you may very well be settling for field goal attempts.

There is absolutely a possibility the Jets can win this game, but it's likely going to take some turn-overs or uncharacteristic mistakes from the Chargers for that to happen.

Picture your game against the Colts... only we're not going to pull our starters.

AND CLEMENS COULDA BEEN, IF HE EVER GOT A FAIR SHOT.

No, but seriously, Schotty's done an incredible job identifying and bringing in high-end talent. Even many of the role players he's brought in through free agency--Tony Richardson, Mike DeVito, Jay Feely, have been great finds. However, he tends to spend too much on filling perceived needs--think the Faneca, Woody, and Pace contract, which leads to a lack of depth.

You mean that game that was 15-10 when Manning left midway through the third?

Run it all day.. It's not going to do you any good when you're down by 20.

You mean a one-possession game that was in no way decided through 2.5 quarters?
