Brandon Graham...Brandon Lang...Greg Hardy...Norwood....Witten...Antonio Coleman...there's a whole boatload of guys this draft I'd love to see on the Jets...0 would start right away (including Graham, possibly excluding Hardy if he's healthy) and therefore would be labeled busts.

I like your entire list!! Especially... Graham, Norwood and A.Coleman.

Antonio Coleman may surprise alot of people, the kid is a player.

Of all of those I'm highest on Brandon Graham. I jsut doubt he will be around by the time we get to pick. 25th at best for now, hopefully moving downward this weekend.

The fact that one is a top 6 pick and the other would be late in the first at best is one thing that would make a big difference in how the rookie would be viewed vs. Gholston. Plus, after all fans have seen I don't think anyone is looking for a rookie to start 16 games and dominate, they just want SOMETHING in the form of a real passrusher. VG has shown nothing in 2 years, if a kid they draft can prove himself as a good 3rd option as a rookie behind Pace (very important to the team) and Cactus (not terrible under Rex), then that's all I want.

To note on an earlier topic, the bonus money has already been paid to Gholston. It's just spread over the course of the contract for cap purposes, so though it would technically be added to the team salary, it was paid two years ago.

Putting this in the correct thread because it would right everything:

    DE/OLB rankings:

Greg Hardy - Big, versatile player with elite upside. Would be the best pass rusher in this draft if he could stay healthy.

Brandon Graham - Reminds me of Lamarr Woodley. High motor, stout build, good experience, and comes from a school thats put out good 3-4 talent. Very productive.

Brandon Lang - Prototypical 3-4 OLB size and athleticism. Deceptively strong, very quick, plays well in space, and makes plays behind the LOS.

Eric Norwood - Excellent, experience, productive DE/OLB prospect.

Sergio Kindle - Slightly overrated right now, but an excellent athlete with very high upside. I think he might work better in a 4-3 as an OLB, but no point in limiting him right now. Will learn more about where he stands this offseason.

George Selvie - I value experience alotfor guys making the DE/OLB transitiion, and Selvie was a beast in college for forever it seems. Very athletic...probably underrated in that area right now...often doubled and even tripled in college after his '07. His teammate, JJP, is OK but I won't rank him. Think Bobby McCray with JJP...I won't pigeonhole Selvie just yet., though he's probably more situational than starter as it stands now.

Jerry Hughes - Fast, but I question someone who's risen so quickly. Very productive, very athletic, high character...fits the profile of a high pick but I'm still fishy about him for some reason. Will need to be coached up more than it seems is perceived.

Lindsey Witten - High upside, excellent size, fluid athlete...good devleopmental DE.

    Jermaine Cunningham
Willie Young - Excellent size, pretty productive in school...Didn't see too much NCST.
Ricky Sapp - I can't believe this guy gets first round talk.
Antonio Coleman - One of my favorite sleepers.
Eric Moncur - 5th year senior.

    Good post.

I've been a huge Brandon Graham supporter. One of my favorite defensive players in this draft, would be an excellent additon to Rex's system. I've seen a bunch of Michigan games and Graham is big-time player. Makes alot of plays in the backfiled and does pretty well in coverage.

As of right now, Graham is my leader for the Jets 1st Rd pick in mid to late 20s.

Selvie had one really monster year and has been relatively quiet. Selvie has alot of ability, have to see if it translates to the NFL.

Antonio Coleman stock may rise and he won't be a sleeper. I really thought he was the best player on Auburn's defense.

I never considered Sapp to be anywhere close to first rd talent.

I think it should be noted that none of those guys would start immediately...I leave the door open with the first 3 guys...but in all likelihood...no. Most 3-4 teams just try to stash OLB conversions away for a year+ anyway...

Guys on Sirius NFL Radio had an interview with Brandon Graham from the senior bowl. They are talking him up to be a real great OLB in a 3-4.

Where is he projected to go?

If he keeps getting this kind of reviews, he'll go before our pick.

He had a great day today at the Senior Bowl practice.

Right now, Graham is in the 20-30 range of round 1.

Graham's stock could rise even futher, combine will tell the tale. Graham has football speed and lots of heart/desire. Graham isn't the fastest player and isn't the biggest...so it could hurt him come April.

We've drafted the fastest biggest projected 3-4 OLB before and it didn't work out. I'll take the football player with lower measureables if we can. Graham is a beast. Sadly I feel that all my guys I'm currently in love with for the JEts are goign to be gone.

Williams, Cody, Tate, Graham, JPP, Thomas, and Iupati should all go between 10 and 25. Perhaps someone like Odrick or Ducasse could be the around at 29.

    Sadly, you're probably right Harp!!!

Graham will probably be gone, but it doesn't mean we might not get a very good player at 29. Graham's measurables will be a factor and he's not stellar in that department. Some team in the early 20's is going to draft Graham on his productivity....he's a football player.

To me, Selvie is one of those guys who will be significantly better in the pros than in college. I've seen a lot of USF games and even when JPP started performing, they still double teamed Selvie almost every single time.

He would be incredible value in the late 2nd IMO. Has a non-stop motor and a lot of experience and leadership.

I don't understand the Ricky Sapp love in general. He would be awful in the first round.

Eric Norwood would be pretty awesome. I don't think he'll ever be a 12+ sack guy, but he does everything well.
