Well, we were full strength against the Pats until they head-hunted Strickland with an O-lineman and he left the game with a concussion.
Yes, my point was that we only had the one game (the 2nd Pats game) in which the opposing team's receivers were at full strength. We'll need everyone this weekend.
It's going to be a good game. Jackson will have some catches. What I find interesting is the lack of talk about Sproles and san diego's special teams.
whut? Sorry if my typing skillz don't meet your approval... But yes, we'll agree to disagree. In closing Whay I will say is this. You are saying that VJ is "Just as good" as Moss. If you are saying Statistically, Well, Moss was better statistically this year.... Was it close? Not really considering VJ is the #1 WR on the team and Moss was the #2 WR. Both were the #2 overall receivers on the team and there is the closest your argument can get. Now, If you are just saying he is Just as good as a receiver period that's where I think you're crazy. and ftr, When VJ can do what Moss has done in his career I will have absolutely no Problem calling him "Elite" and all the other swag approval you think he needs. I just call it how I see it.... MmmKthnxBye
I pointed that out in the game thread. It was Obvious. -We blew up their WR screen in game 1. -They ran 1 screen saw we defended it the same way. -Next screen? Belly was locked and Loaded. I'm not hating though, that's what coaches get paid to do..It was well done on their part but I was surprised that we were letting Edelman come off the line and not getting crushed. One thing that sticks out to me is when the JETS hit and Get nasty, teams shut down. See: Game 1 and Cincy last week ... is that dude still here?
Call me superstitious, but I feel like there isn't nearly enough fear among the fanbase for Sunday's game right now. Everyone is riding high from the Bengals victory and is allowing themselves to think Superbowl. I feel like the Jets can't win without a healthy degree of skepticism from the fans. Come on people - think the worst! It's the only time the Jets play well.
Take a look at the Final 8 rankings in the NFL forum. People are thinking there's a chance of the Super Bowl, but nobody thinks the odds are in our favor.
This is, imo, unquestionably the best WR corps we've faced all season. The sucky part is that I know our DBs WILL get torched. (I'm not even convinced Revis locks down VJack...who I consider the best WR in the league now hands down.) It's up to our front 7 to get pressure constantly on Rivers. We need a blitz every play. That's the only way we're winning.
That was a month ago. The Cowboys are playing much better right now then they were a month ago. That's what we're talking about, who's hot right now. The 11 game win streak is impressive, but I wonder if a week off will have a negative impact on that roll?
