I've been a devout fan since '84. I tend to wear more Jets stuff when they're in the playoffs.

Never was one to wear sports gear only jets stuff I have is a key, key chain, beer stein and license plate frame holder whatever you call it. Though I have started seeing more and more Jets fans wearing stuff I always go up to them and say its nice to be able to come out isn't it

Wouldn't know that going by the daily News yesterday, the day after the Jets win a playoff game, they have the Giants on the back cover talking about Mara being so pissed with the Giants 8-8 season...The Post is better anyway....

You are wrong to be sickened. We finally get to wear our Jets gear in public without having to feel embarrased. Be glad for it. It's just a sign that the Jets are succeeding.

If you'd rather be the guy that wears his gear in the face of losing then go root for the Raiders. They seem to get away with it just fine.

I don't get why people hate bandwagon fans so much. Just because I choose to obsess over every detail about the Jets for 7 days a week doesn't mean that my girlfriend should have to if she wants to watch the game with me.

It could also be a sign that you jumped on the bandwagon.

If she's your girlfriend, then she can't be considered a bandwagon team. She probably just watches the games because you like the Jets.

I never really wear Jets stuff, just not my thing, but today I threw on a Jets hat before I walked out. You may be seeing a lot of people with that same feeling these days.

I agree with others that I think it's likely that people who were always fans just felt like wearing the gear today. If it really matters to you, check out if the hat looks brand new or not, but as for me, I couldn't care less - a team attracting bandwagon fans only means that it is successful (which of course makes me happy), and doesn't have any connection with me having watched the team for 45 years.

And as I always say, it's no great achievement being a fan of any team - it's not like you have to take a test to qualify.

I doubt everyone decided to go shopping for JETS gear yesterday after they won a playoff game.

Enjoy the moment and let everyone else do the same.

Fans are just being more proud to wear their Jets gear.

When a team does well, the fanbase will wear merchandise outside instead of only on gameday.

If the Jets win a SB, then the fake bandwagon fans will be born. Those idiots can't name Toon and Walker and Klecko and Gerry Philbin.... or even a guy like Eric McMillan. Ask long time Pats fans about the fake idiots that show up when you start winning.

    In our case you do.

You have to be able to name on demand any 5 heart wrenching collapses in a given 25 year span, or be denounced

I see no reason not to wear the colors when the team is in the playoffs.

As soon as they lose a game, though, all that crap goes in the closet and stays there until sometime in August.
