Two seasons in I think it is safe to say Gholston is the biggest bust in Jets history.

Can we officially label this thread "annoying"?

Mike Williams. he was selected 10th in 2005, played three seasons and is out of the league. Total stats: 539 yards, 2 TDs. BUST.

Edit: oops you said top 6, sorry. I would say Dewayne Robertson, but I guess he had some stats to back up his career...

At least he had 2 TDs! Gholston has 30 tackles combined in 2 years...

How is it annoying to talk about our former #6 overall draft pick who hasn't produced a damn thing in two years? It's something to be angry about. Granted, he had a pretty good game against Cincy. Still no impact plays, but he made a few tackles. If he were a 6th or 7th round pick, we wouldn't hate him, but he's not.

We could have labeled him a bust the day Mangini made him inactive..and some us were smart enough to do just that.

    Call me crazy, but.....

I awoke sometime in the wee hours of this morning, fresh off a dream.

I was sitting on the sidelines, watching a football game. To those of you who remember the scene, it was from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," when Forest Whittaker's character finds his prized Pontiac Firebird completely FUBAR, with spraypaint on the body indicating that fans of the opposing team were responsible.

Biggest game of the year and the character was pissed to holy hell.

Would this work with Gladys? Who's with me? You find the car, I'll supply the Krylon.

This is what happens when you have such a small sample of work.

In the past -- the 1970's and 1980's -- you'd have top players on good teams go up against 5-6 really good teams a year. You'd see them compete against good players pretty much every other week, if not more often.

Now....teams might have 1-2 tough teams a year. So when Ghoulston's entire body of work was based on his 1 game against Mich. State and beating consensus Top 3 pick Jake Long with 2 sacks, everybody extrapolated it into a full-body of work instead of saying maybe the guy got lucky on 2 plays against a great player.

Vernon's middle name has got to be Allen.

I'm not so sure The Ghost will be cut before next season. I have a feeling they'll make him earn his money instead of a buyout or outright cut. If that means ST's, then so be it. Who knows, perhaps he'll grow a pair in 2010 and finally become a decent backup. The chances of him ever living up to his draft status are slim and none..

Hopefully Tanny Cuts him as soon as possible! He might be the worst pick in Jet History and that is saying a lot!

I think I saw Gholston out there in the Bengals game. Didn't see much of Harris guess he isnt at 100% yet.

I dont think Harris was healthy. He played probably one of his worst games all year.

    Harris hurt, Gholston blows

I've already moved on from Gholston, its time everyone should...Mangini forgot about Mike Mamula, he was the same story, workout warrior that couldn't translate on the field...
The real story is David Harris' ankle, the main reason Benson ran like he did is b/c Harris couldn't move like he does normally, glad we have extra day or two between next game...Harris is the most underated aspect of our No.1 D

Rex has been holding VG back as our secret weapon & he will be unveiled this week as the edge pass rusher that we have lacked so Rivers better watch out as he will be under duress all game from the stud from OSU
