    Theres really no depth to the picture so you cant really be sure his hand isnt going towards a fans hand or touching the namath jersey logo

    Great picture! The kid does get it, he just has to mature into his role, maybe we are watching it happen sooner then we thought.

    I'm not sure that you can say it's awesome that he knows about Joe Namath. I mean, everyone with any football knowledge knows what he did.

    He's damn lucky his hand didn't stick. It would have been embarrassing asking those guys to lean down and lick it free. They'd have done it but it would have been embarrassing.

    Oh man, what a shot that would have been: Sanchez stuck to the Namath jersey by his hand and 4 fans leaning over and stuck to it by their tongues...

    Cool pic. Based on how excited the kid gets when things go right for the Jets, I'm sure every hand that reached out for a high five was filled with an enthusiastic slap by Sanchez. Looks to me he is just paying some respect and maybe trying to soak up some positive mojo.

    But lots of the young players today seem oblivious to the history of their team or the NFL/AFL in general.

    I think it's great to see Sanchez acknowledge a Jets legend like this.
