I live in san diego. I'd get shit all week. That said I'd rather play the chargers. Better matchup for us IMO
good memories with playoff games in SD, so yeah, I'm voting for that. Plus, like others said, that means Baltimore won and we've got a chance to host the AFC championship game
Manning > Rivers Clark = Gates Indy running game > SD running game We can run on either team And it eliminates the Pats so I'd rather play SD
Chargers because that means there's still a possibility of an AFC Championship game in the meadowlands.
I'd take my chances with the Colts to be honest. We've already seen them, their offense is likely to be rusty, Manning isn't exactly a worldbeater in the playoffs, and they aren't as good as 14-0 would lead you to believe. Then again, if we play the Chargers it means that the Patriots lose tomorrow, which would be delightful to watch.
I like the match up with SD. SD can't run the ball. Put Revis on Jackson and double Gates. And the SD defense is not good against the run at all. The Colts scare me, especially after the crap they took for pulling their starters two weeks ago. Either way, it doesn't really matter. The Jets are playing with a huge pile of house money right now.
I've seen a few San Diego games. Our defense would confuse the hell out of Rivers. If you hit Rivers, he makes mistakes. Peyton, on the other hand, won't be confused by our defense, and he can call slide protections, hot routes, and audibles to take advantage of our scheme. Gotta go with San Diego
They are going to want to prove a point against us... like I said let the Ravens get 1st crack at them.
Not even close on this one. The Chargers. Manning was bitch slapping our defenses around like it was absolutely nothing and the Colts had nothing to play for. As a Jets fan, the only reason we were in that game was because he missed two throws (the one deep to Clark where he was wide open, and the one to Wayne in the end zone where Revis got confused). And he just came in and led a 80 yard TD drive before he came out, he had our defense broken down to a tee, first QB to actually do that to us this year. San Diego. Rivers isn't close to Manning, and they can't run. The Colts are so fucking hard to beat when their starters are in this season, it looks impossible because they ALWAYS win at the end if it's close. I think we beat the Chargers if we play them.
congrats Jets, you guys overcame the cheating refs and timekeeper. That had to be the most biased officiated game I've seen in a long time. Here's hoping to a Ravens win so you guys can come to socal.
I'm not particularly worried about either team. But I picked the Colts because then it would instantly shut up all the morons that said the Jets didn't deserve to be in the playoffs and backed in--the Jets would have just finished beating the 2 teams that allegedly let them in. It's just karma. The only reason to pick the Chargers is that means the Ravens won and so the Jets can have a home game in the AFC Championship round.
Chargers, as you guys have said, Manning is not in this world. He is just insane against the blitz, even if he is rusty, they basically take away our best asset, our defense. As great as sanchez was, i still don't trust him and the offense to have a shoot out against the Colts. Either game is gonna be tough and the worst part is we may have to play both. I can only hope that if we win, we can play ravens/pats,especially the ravens since that would be at home
One week old child or not, I'm making things work if we play in SD. Already have a babysitter for Felicity so my wife can just take care of the baby.
