A few months ago Chad Ochocinco was on SNY and said he would love to play for the jets. ill look for the video. edit: here it is http://web.sny.tv/media/video.jsp?content_id=7095833
i wish the tv cameras would focus more on all the other fans at the game more. he's just one of 80,000 other fans in the stadium that are just as passionate.
What year was that again? 2007? We were a 4-win team, of course the crowd sucked. And all he does is lead the chant, there are many others capable of getting the people around them to make noise for the defense. I have nothing against Ed, but you give him too much credit.
eh he has done commercials for the Jets before im sure he got paid for that though. I just see him as a mascot, but in reality he is just like all of us.
Thats so cheap that the Jets dont give Ed season tickets for free.. the dude probably brings in tons of money for the Jets..
Ed wasn't born into a football family - liked the Fins and Cowboys because they were SB winners at the time. When he old enough to pick a true alliance, he picked the Jets. When I was old enough to choose for myself - I chose the Jets. I was born into a family that likes the Giants. I knew Rodney Hampton and Danny kennel while I heard about Neil O'Donnell, but never watched them play. I became a fan after the 1997 season. I have zero regrets doing so.
Same for me. I liked the Giants up until I went to a Jets game when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old. Haven't looked back since. Then again, calling myself a giants 'fan' at such a young age is about as true as calling me a presidential candidate for 2012.
I'm sure he gets other "perks" from the team by being the face of the team but like me, at the end of the day, he's a fan who is not on the Jets payroll.
