http://theredzone.org/BlogDescription.aspx?EntryId=2265 Rich Gannon was the best QB to play for the Raiders the last two decades. The closest candidate after him is Jeff Hostetler for Revis sakes. He was the last thing resembling a true leader on this team and the Jokes of the NFL treat him like this? It's hubris like this that will put Oakland in the bowels of the NFL for decades to come.
the Raiders are determined to continue the charade that he isn't one of the worst picks in history. they should rename them the Oakland Ostriches.
The stupidity here is unfathomable. Someone needs to push Al Davis' wheelchair down a flight of stairs. Or make sure he lives forever. Either or works.
Normally, I would root for the Raiders to suck for another decade, as well. But Beli-cheat managed to pry away a first-round draft pick in 2011 from the senile old man, Al Davis. So we must hope the Raiders have an uncharacteristically successful season next year in order for the pats pick to be lower. Then oakland can go back to their decade of sucking.
Wow. Telling Gannon he is the one who needs help is crazy stupid by Davis. Usually when the elderly cannot drive anymore, someone responsible takes their keys away and sells their vehicle. Time to take the keys from Al. It's been that time for a while now.
I agree. If you go there and read their forum, it's really depressing. JaMarcus Russel recently got caught ducking a team meeting to Las Vegas but Al still supports Russel, despite Bruce Gradkowski being right under his nose. It's gotten to the point where they, as a fan base, are waiting for the owner to die. It's just an awkward thing for them to know that you will never be successful until the man who made your franchise dies. Kinda like the whole Joe Namath "sold my soul for a SB" thing, except real.
Yeah, I'd pay Gannon to visit the team during practice and talk things over with Sanchez.. Gannon was such a pain in our asses
That whole organization is like a big Jerry Springer Show. In all honesty, Gannon should have seen this coming, what did he expect? I love Al Davis, he lifts my spirits on bad days. I hope he lives to be 200 years old.
