This award was set in stone the very second Bernard Pollard made the hit.

Fuck Brady... how many players come back from torn ligaments every year? And a QB doesn't even run on it that much! This is a joke... might as well send next years trophy to Welker... a least he uses his knee.

Cadillac Williams killed his knee on various occasions and he doesn't get it? What about Vince Young leading his team after a big 2008 flop? God I hate Brady... I think I only hate Goodell and Belichick more than him.

VY or Caddy could've easily gotten this award over Brady.

Bah whatever. I'll let him have it as long as Sunday Baltimore puts those pussies out on their ass.

Yes it is, the man missed a season in the prime of his career. The Brady hate is ridiculous, step back and realize how great this guy has been.

cadillac deserved consideration but while he played all year he didn't put up big #s.

Maybe there are guys who deserve it more but to act like Brady doesn't deserve it silly.

Won the AFC East and now this. Brady is this year's Chad Pennington, he's even hurt now.

Who is this Tom Brady guy? Never heard of him before. Maybe I'll check out this channel called ESPN and see if they have any information on him.

Poor bastard might not even get a chance to win bring the award back home next year. Although, I could totally see him getting cut, and I could absolutely see a team like Cleveland signing him. In which case. . . .

Considering that Welker played at a high level all year, that would be truly ridiculous. If he's out all next year he could be a candidate for 2011, but I see no argument for him to be a comeback player the season after he catches 123 passes.

Or maybe this was intended to be a joke?

I don't think Welker will be the same until 2011, late ACL injuries carry over. Especially for someone who's game relies on lateral movement.
