Scott Hall looked like Archie Bunker last night on TNA.

The WWE has some good young guys, as does TNA. AJ Styles is going to be huge.

TNA last night was rediculous. Hogan is basically giving all his friends jobs. Scott Hall, THe Nasty Boys, Venis, Etc...

THere is a reason most of the guys haven't been in the public eye for over a decade. THeyre washed up.

I still say the WWE wasted a great gimmick in Val Venis.

I can't imagine WWE will ever allow Jeff Hardy back now, either. And Matt Hardy is now fucked until he gets released. Ric Flair, may as well have never been in a WWE ring, they'll never acknowledge him again.

I'm half expecting Lex Luger and Macho Man to show up next week in TNA.

THe Bret Hart angle is boring so far. I get it, he got screwed. But he can't really do much, other than stand around. Are they setting up a WM street fight between Bret and VInce? Who cares. Unless Bret legit beats the fuck out of Vince, I don't.

I was never a big Jeff Hardy fan but he really fucked his fans over with the way he went to TNA.

Hopefully WWE doesnt blow it with the possible Edge/Jericho fued once Edge comes back form his injury.

Maybe it's because I haven't watched much wrestling over the last few years, but when i do happen to catch it (WWE) i get bored fast.

There was a time when the characters and storylines were the shit.

The Big Red Retard had his mask
The Dudley Boys got the tables
The Hardy boys were the aerial assault
The fued between Angle and Stone cold was awesome
Edge and Christian had their 5 second pose
    Triple H was relevant
JBL was still part of the APA
The Rock was well The Rock.

Now everone is just Joe Athlete. No good gimmicks, no good characters, no good storylines.
TNA might be on the up and up. But Flair should have retired and moved to Florida years ago. Nash and X-pac were never relevant. Hogan screwed himself by having his own tv show. I think they got the Ultimate Warrior stuffed back there in the back somewhere just waiting to pop out.

I would have been OK with Flair if he retired as a wrestler long ago and stayed on as a manager/commentator/non-wrestling role. I could care less about seeing Hogan or any of those other old farts anymore. But, Flair I still like.

You must add Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie. Those two were hilarious. It was a funny show then. The Rock was always on, and his segment with Mankind "this was your life" when they brought all the people from the Rock's past was funny as hell. I still remember the "Coach" (now on ESPN) being forced by the Rock to dance the Charleston as well.

Those weren't even the best times. It was 97-99 that was the glory days.... Austin vs McMahon; DX, NAtion of Domination, Bret Hart, HBK not washed up.... The Rock was his best as the Corporate Champion. There will never be another heel persona that was as entertaining.

    +1

When the Hart foundation was feuding with DX and Austin.....WWE was at its finest.

When Owen died....so did WWE wrestling, imo.

I wouldn't have even thought about securing myself to a scaffolding for an entrance. Do you think McMahon really has anyone's best interst or health at heart?

It's like going to the fair. The guy operating and maintaining the most dangerous ride has the least amount of teeth. Do you really want to put your life in the hands of a guy with three teeth? If he can't be bothered to pick up some colgate, he probably isn't inspecting the integrity of the ride very close.

funny, but as i kept flipping back and forth between both shows, i almost expected the rock to pop out of the limo with hogan.

that would have been the ultimate one-finger salute to vince.
btw, is it true that the writer's boss on wwe is none other than stephanie?

no wonder the storylines suck soooo baddddd.........:shit:

I really enjoyed wrestling when WCW had just pulled ahead of WWF in the ratings. When there was competition, it was awesome. I looked forward to flipping back and forth between the two. I really think the lack of competition had killed the WWE. TNA isn't real competition as far as ratings go.

Time to make predictions for tonight. I say Orton takes the gold (finally!) over the spikey Irish dude. Taker beats Rey which is an easy decision. I think Edge will come back at some point during the rumble and HBK wins the match itself (although I don't want him to). What does everyone else think?

Im guessing Sheamus retains over Orton and Edge somehow costs Jericho the Royal Rumble.

Im calling Edge for the win in the rumble...but he'll use/lose his title shot before WM...clearing the way for hbk vs taker. ***see below comments***

Sheamus over Orton. Orton wasnt even supposed to be in the match...Cena was, but his back is keeping him out.

Christian over Jackson for obvious reasons.....

Taker and Rey is an interesting match which I think may have carry over into the Rumble. My prediction is that HBK costs Taker with a run in, and gets repayed by Taker during the rumble...setting up the WM match. If that happens, Edge goes on to WM to face Rey.

Oh yeah...Thickie James wins the Chick Title.

I see Edge vs Randy Orton at mania, which means of course that Edge wins the Rumble and Randy the title. And now that DX is on both shows, it won't be hard to see Shawn setting up a rivalry vs Taker before mania. I'm thinking there may be a HHH vs Batista setting up for mania too, maybe tonight, just from that staredown Friday night.

As for Cena, he can go take a short jump off a tall cliff for all I care.
