Thank you
I don't think you'd be a homer to put David Harris on either the 1st or 2nd team. I agree with most of your list though.
I agree with a lot of it, but was Jay Feely really the 2nd best Kicker? ...and what happened to Asomugha this year? Has he had a bad year or is no one talking about him because of Revis/Woodson and him being on the Raiders?
It was half token Jets player and half that I felt he was deserving. He was clutch for us this year and the only other kicker I felt was deserving was David Akers...maybe Rob Bironas....the kicking game overall this year was horrendous
It seems the AP agreed with me. The team was released today, and Ware and Ratliff were both first team. Sorry I don't have a link, I'm posting from my phone.
He was only thrown at 28 times, which is remarkable. He gave up 21 catches though, which isn't that great.
Wes Welker isn't even the best WR on his team, there are at least 5 other WRs who I would put on an All pro team ahead of him. The guy has to be the most overrated player in the nfl right now.
123 receptions in 14 games is impressive no matter which way you look at it and he was also named AP 1st team All Pro.
I'm not saying he's a not a good player, he's easily the best slot receiver in the league, but he's still overrated. People always bring up his reception total but most of them are 3 yard screen passes, and he's always matched up against #2 and #3 corners, and safeties. The guy was 3rd on his team in TDs Welker is a good player, but to put him ahead of guys like Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald and Brandon Marshall is ridiculous. Those guys face the other teams best CB, are almost always double teamed and still manage to put up better numbers than Welker.
I know what he does and what he is. But from an All Pro stand point he definitely deserved 1st team All Pro this year.
Randy Moss - 1,264 yards 15.2 YPC 13 TDs Wes Welker - 1,348 yards 11.0 YPC 4 TDs One guy was constantly double teamed, the other guy faced nickle backs and safeties. Who had the better season? Sure Welker had more receptions, but that doesn't mean he was more productive.
He didn't just have more receptions he had the 2nd most receptions in one season in NFL History and did it in only 14 games. AP had him as 1st team All Pro as well so I feel more confident in my choice.
Jay Feely? Are you f***ing kidding me? http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...ualified=true&Submit=Go&tabSeq=1&d-447263-p=1 17 guys had done a better job than Feely did this year.
He's third on this list behind only Akers and Kaeding, who were tied for 32 FG. Kaeding had the most FG's scored with a 91% accuracy.
I have a hard time giving any of the non-Chris Johnson backs a spot over Steven Jackson, who carried his ass off for a terrible Rams team, and had 250 more receiving yards than TJ and roughly the same rushing total. AP lost 6 fumbles.
