to balance out all the hate. Could this be the kiss of death? God, I hope not. In the last 4 years, a WC team has either made it to, or won the Super Bowl. On ESPN, Tedy Bruschi was told to pick a team from the AFC that had the best chance to reach the SB. Brushchi chose: Pats over Ravens Jets over Bengals Now, I know what you're thinking, Bruschi is gonna choose the Pats to make the SB over the Jets. Its pretty obvious, right? Wrong. He thought the Jets had the best chance out of all 4 WC teams to reach the SB, and said even more he thought they would beat Indy when and if they play them. He said the Jets defense, Darrelle Revis, the O-line and the running game makes us a very difficult team to beat in the playoffs, and we could surprise some teams this postseason. Just an interesting take from lifelong Patriots player.
I have seen him pick for the jets and against the patriots several times since his retirement. wonder why.
Bruschi is a smart guy, he knows the Patriots aren't a SB contender this year. He also knows having a big time defense will take you far in the playoffs (he was a key member of a big time defense)
actually Teddy has been the MOST unbiased analyst on ESPN ...hes very reality based..and has shown the jets love the past 2 weeks...very good and fair assesments....even was harsh on Bellichick after the 4th down thing
Its true. He didn't mean head to head match-ups. He just meant weekly. I noticed he picks the Jets a lot and then goes against NE. Odd.
I like Teddy and I imagine as a defensive player he knows the Jets defense has the chance to do something special in the playoffs. Our recipe for success is running the ball and minimizing offensive turnovers. If the Ravens could win with Dilfer the Jets could win with Sanchez.
I think I'd rather face Indy, as Junc pointed out in another thread Indy has always lost when they had a first round bye. I also think SD is a better team than Indy
I read it wrong. Took it as he picked the Jets over the Patriots several times, which just wasn't possible given his time as an analyst.
