While I don't give two shits who the Jets play until after this season is over, one thought occurred to me looking over that schedule: It's going to be a cold season for the Jets.

Yeah, I was thinking SEA, OAK, SD, SF, but I guess you could call Denver a west coast game too.

John Elway considered it west coast enough.

I hear you, I just feel like the Jets haven't had the same problems with playing in Denver as they do with playing in the other cities I mentioned. I don't know if history bears that out, I'm just going off my general perception that we've done awful over recent years any time we have to play road games on the west coast (the actual west coast).

I agree with you, though we haven't done that well in Denver either, I don't think. The one game I remember winning there was eight months too late in 1999, another in 1978.

People out east do think of it as west coast, it's funny that Elway was from California, insisted on going to a "west coast" team and played his whole career in Denver. A lot more west coast than Baltimore, i guess, though they moved to Indy the following year--probably still not west enough for Mr. Elway.

More importantly, Denver's a crummy team.

A tough home schedule and a weak road schedule will make for myriad close games.
