2003 playoffs: Colts get spanked by the Pats in the AFCC, Ty Law rule comes about, neutering defensive backs everywhere. 2008 playoffs: Colts lose in OT to San Diego, massive outcry from idiots over NFL over-time rules ensues. 2009 regular season: Peyton Manning is pulled from the week 16 game against the Jets, Colts undefeated season comes to an end. Fat whiny humps everywhere cry, Goodell entertains the idea of rewarding teams with compensatory draft picks for "trying." When is this shit going to stop?
When Goodell steps down....in 15 years. He's going to give more draft picks to elite teams for "trying?"........... this man runs the NFL?
It's almost humorous how blatant the favoritism is. I don't think we'll see any rules being changed on account of bad calls against the Jets anytime soon.
Indy has done this multiple times before including just 2 years ago to give ten an easier road to the playoffs. It has more to do w/ the fact they were unbeaten. What is really crazy is Indy didn't want to go for an undefeated season but they let guys play last week to get individual #s. Maybe that's why this team has underachieved for a decade(w/ the exception of 2006) in postseason?
Exactly. It also demonstrated that not only is Peyton not allowed to lose in the playoffs, but he's not allowed to lose ever.
We got a lot of flags on our secondary at Indy that we hadn't gotten all year, too. It's the football equivalent of playing against Michael Jordan--as good as he is you have to play against him and the officials at the same time.
Colts fans are pissed because the 16-0 season would have been something to hang their hats on once they get Peyton’s obligatory choke in the playoffs and they don’t even make the big game. They have a point.
Wow, I just looked it up...the 9 times Peyton has qualified for the playoffs he's been bounced in his first game 6 times.
This happens every year and had nothing to do with the Colts But every Colts game I've watched this year they've gotten at least 1 ridiculous pass interference call go in their favor
