Guys the Fiesta Bowl is on and Kyle Wilson just messed up TCU's QB, Dalton on a blitz.

Wilson has the potential to be a late rd 1 pick, an excellent CB , with awesome punt returning skills.

K-Dub is the best player in the WAC besides Fresno's Ryan Mathews.

    Kyle Wilson is a baller.

Teammate of Malcolm Jenkins and Anthony Davis at nearby Piscataway High School here in NJ. During Malcolm's interview on NFL Network last year at Radio City during the draft a friend of mine yelled "Kyle Wilson's better!" so Malcolm gave the kid a smile and point.

But really, Wilson is a great player, and if he runs well could easily rise in a jumbled cornerback class. Then again, when isn't the CB class non-sensicle at this point.

How does he grade compared to Haden and Cox?

Haden is an elite player, a possible Shutdown corner in the NFL.

Cox and Wilson are both possible late rd 1 selections and great KR returners. Cox will probably be drafted ahead of Wilson, because of their conference play, which may not be fair. Wilson is more physical than Cox, something I really appreciate.

IMO, Wilson will be a better Pro than Cox.

Other than Haden probably my favorite corner in the draft i think he could slip to round 2

Joe Haden is by far the best corner prospect in this draft. He's a top ten player overall.

I've been extremely high on Kyle Wilson for a while now. The kid can flat out play.

If he runs well, which he should, Wilson could be a late first rounder.

I have him ranked behind Joe Haden and Donovan Warren. So he's third on my list of CBs.

    You're exactly right, dude.

Everything depends on how the CBs AFTER Joe Haden perform at the combine.

It'll come down to Donovan Warren, Kyle Wilson, Perrish Cox, Trevard Lindley, and Ras-I Dowling.

I really think Donovan Warren will impress a lot of teams and become the #2 corner prospect.

Warren jumped because he knew that he is what NFL teams are looking for, big (height and build) and fast. He'll end up going in the top 20 based on what he does in shorts, even if it looks like he still has to develop his skills more than some other guys rated near him.

That is my concern with Warren. I've seen him play quite a bit and he seems to lack technique in coverage and makes up for it with his physical ability. Warren isn't as smart a player as Joe Haden...you can tell Haden is a student of the game. I'm not nearly as high on Warren as Mr.E and yourself, he's still a good player that should do well at the combine.

I see more NFL potential from Kyle Wilson. Wilson has more "football skills" and isn't going to be drafted as high as Warren when the combine results are revealed. I'll take the better football player over the workout warrior.

I'm not saying that I believe Warren is necessarily a top 20 player in my mind, but I do believe that is where his value will end up after the workout season ends.

I honestly really like Perrish Cox and think he can be a good starter, and I'd probably like Wilson over Warren if I had to pick right now. Still, the workouts will affect my opinion just as they will NFL teams.

I'd be pleased with picking Wilson late in Rd1 ,especially if we let Lito walk, he fills our need of another corner and we get an elite playmaking PR, and not just a "safe" one.

    Good find Rhodes.

There was a little discussion last night, I believe Mr E and I brought up that Kyle Wilson should be an option for the Jets #29. I started this thread seeing how Wilson was a man among boys in the Bowl game vs TCU. Wilson was all over the field making plays.

I have Wilson rated as my 2nd highest CB in this draft, ahead of Warren. I believe Wilson's abilty to do many things well...tackle, hit, blitz, cover and return kicks makes him perfect for the Jet's system.

I always want our draft pick to be as high as possible (winning is the most important aspect), it may be a blessing in disguise the Jets pick at #29, it can justify selecting Wilson or trade down into rd 2 and acquire more picks.

There are sooo many border-line 1st round picks that are in positions of need for the Jets... Wilson, Ducasse, Iupati (I think he's a lock in rd 1 though), Odrick, tons of OLBs, CBs, Tate... if many of them are still on the board when we are OTC I think it's a given that we try to trade down...

In the last press conf. Rex mentioned that if they draft someone in the secondary, he wants Revis to call the guy up like Peyton Manning does and immediately put the guy to work. Wilson seems like a perfect fit. He is my top target as of today. I don't think a Dlineman will be there worth taking.and I don't want a WR. Next would be a Oline to replace Woody or Faneca, who might both be gone after next year.

Problem is, even if Wilson drops to the second round we have the 29th pick. We really need another corner and pass rusher but between those two positions there are only a couple of surefire first rounders. I'd like to see us trade our 1st for a 2nd and another draft pick that we could possibly package with our own 2nd rounder if say Kyle Wilson drops. If not then we have an extra pick later on in the draft.

definetly on this bandwagon, how about this scenario:

Lions trade 34th overall and 4th round pick to Jets for 29th and take Iupati, we take wilson at 34

Iupati is the ONLY guy that would make me think a lot wether I'd want to trade down... but ultimately I think I'd do it...

It would actually be very interesting if Iupati is still there at 29 because teams would try hard to jump in front of Minny and get him and we could get some real good draft picks in exchange... even though I think whoever gets Iupati takes him at #25 trading in front of the Cowboys as well... I don't know.. we'll have to wait and see.

Detroit would make a huge steal in drafting him though...
