Exactly. But what can be done is taking the seat-back that has your seat number on it. I know someone who did this at Shea after the Jets last game there in '83. Once "my friend" did that, the seat-back was really of no use to him, so it's very not worth the effort and risk of fine or arrest. You can't sit in it if it's just the back piece. If you really want to sit in one of these red seats, just pay the greedy bastards the $500 they are asking. It'll be less than what it might cost you if you get caught. regarding taking the seat-back, here's how my friend did it. Push off of the row in front of you with both legs as if you're doing leg presses, but do so with your ass up high on your seat-back. The seat will bend back, and with enough leg strength, there'll be enough stress to snap it off. It worked in '83. At least that's what my friend says...
It would be embarrassing if the idiot element in the Jets fan base actually tried to rip out seats. Of course the idiot element already has cost everyone the right to purchase a beer on Sunday night.
Hey their loss in revenue. Either you sneak your own in or just live it up prior to the game. No biggie.
Most people in attendance will be wearing bulky winter coats, I could see sneaking out part of a seat.
Those seats aren't coming out, they're not even the least bit loose, they're bolted in good. This isn't Shea, the stadium could stand for 50 more years if it had to.
Numerous times I have seen the part u sit in break off, if you stand up on it and jump a little it will break, That part is made so weak, My seat has broken twice in 6 years, but its always fixed the next time i get back
Just got back from the game. Great showing by all us fans. Sometime around halftime i started to see alot of seats go missing.
