With the decade closing and the last game at the Meadowlands, thought it would be fun to hear some of your best memories, doesn't have to be game related. Here are a couple of mine. Don't remember anything about which game it was but a memory of the stadium I will never forget. It involved a drunk dude in our section, I noticed him from the minute he entered the section and knew he would be funny to watch from afar. He was about 15 rows or so in front of me thankfully, if he was too close he was the kind of guy you would want to punch in the face but from a distance was pretty funny. By the second Qtr he was slumped over his seat passed out only to get up, scream something, fall over into the row in front of him, get help back into his seat. The process repeated itself over and over until finally in the 4th qtr he got up to start his scream and the whole section noticed that he pissed himself, the section cheered and people were throwing shit at him, a funny moment. Another one involved a hot chick in our section who in all my years going to Jets game was the only one to ever get a full standing ovation from an entire section after returning from the concession stands.
Both of those above, and that Colts playoff pounding. That shit was awesome- Dennis Byrd coming out at half was great too!
For me.. games I was at anyway.. - Steelers, 2003 Snowbowl. 6-0 Jets win. - Steelers, 2007. Being invaded by terrible towels and beating them when they were 9-2. - Cardinals, 2008. Favre 6 TD performance. Hopefully my best memory will be Sunday when we clinch a playoff berth. On a side note, Bruce Springsteen performed a song about Giants Stadium. It's kind of cool.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqASHIMbkcg
the snowgame, curtis got a record in that game... was it 4th all time? or was it leading rusher for the year, 1000 yd season again? i dont remember what it was but i remember he ran it down the left side the field almost taking it all the way.
Cheering sucks when the opposing team was introduced which I really miss 2004 slaughtering of the dolphins on monday night last ever monday night game on ABC vs pats colts 41-0 2002 Sean Taylor's last game beating Titans on MNF in 2003
Had season tickets for the past 8 seasons or so...lots of moments... How about when my then girlfriend got us kicked out for giving the crowd what they wanted by showing a little T-I-T-S....later to be seen on HBO's Real Sports.
